I'm sure it was, but my business keeps me so busy that I tend to miss quite a bit of news when it comes to gaming. This was news to me, as I'm sure it was a few people. I tend not to use Google or anything, because I figure if a game site is posting a new article that the news would be fairly new. I didn't realize that this info was already out there.
No harm, no foul.
I mentioned remote play because a lot of people were under the impression that the game would have the same second screen play as the Wii U did. I was just clarifying for people who didn't read the entire article and wanted to know what the exact differences were.
Looks incredible. I was hoping to see some videos from the PS4 version, though the screenshots will suffice for now. The May release will be agonizing, as I was hoping for late March... but if they truly hit the 1080p/ 60fps target, the extra wait will be worth it.
I love the player lock in any mode, being able to play as one player throughout. I also am excited for the upgraded presentation and physics.
Cant wait! Hopefully, we will get some videos soon.
Cant wait! 10am tomorrow never seemed so far away. :) I'm hoping for an early March release.
Nice read. I was wondering what the differences would be, as the game already looked phenomenal. Higher res textures, zero load times, remote play(but no second screen) and touchpad integration.
If you are in the USA, call your local Walmart. They dont put their machines out on the floor, they keep them in the customer service area. Also, there are websites and apps set up for finding consoles. Letting you know when each is in stock.

Hope this helps! Enjoy your new console.
Yeah, I see this as a bit of desperation. But, I don't see how it's going to do gamers any good if they can't play while they pay. The fact that they're still paying for the system over time, doesn't get that system off store shelves anytime soon. Though, it does allow Microsoft to play the numbers game( as those systems sit in layaway bins) saying systems have been sold before they've received the last penny of the layaway purchase. Regardless if gamers actually follo...
I didn't know that. Very cool that they're selling copies of the game at the car wash. Thanks for the info.
I'm also excited for this game. Though, I've never finished the first. I actually downloaded it on the Xbox 360 via Live to play it and only got about an hour or two in and got distracted. Im going to have to finish the first, before this game releases.
As much of the game as I did get to play, I really enjoyed it. Great art direction, great story and likable characters. Almost Rare-like in conception. Hopefully, we will hear and see more of it soon.
Lukas, I couldn't have said it better myself. There is no reason a developer should hold one platforms game back, because of another's discrepancies. Give us the best version of each game, and you're guaranteed to sell a great amount of copies on each platform. Purposely gimp the game on any given platform and you're guaranteed to gimp your sales numbers.
The Himalayas would be incredible. It is one of the most diverse settings they could ever have in the game. I also hope that the writer of this article is right in the fact that they are going to include a yeti for us to find. If that is the case, I will spend a hundred hours looking for it, while exploring and taking in the landscape.
I'm going to guess this game won't see a release until 2015 or 2016. It's going to be one hell of a wait. I've always loved th...
Very cool. Though, I could never understand why the developers don't go around the cities that they try to portray and get local businesses to advertise in their games. It would probably end up paying for the production of the game and all of the proceeds from game sales would be profit.
Regardless, the game looks incredible. I just hope we are able to explore the mountainous regions also and we don't we don't hit a brick wall in doing so. Also, will be be able to...
Awesome! Three of my most wanted games. I can't wait till next week, when we get the info blowout. Especially with MLB 14.
I'm sorry if my post came off as me stating fact. It was more of a speculation.
What I was getting at, is that Microsoft never meant to compete with Sony. The Xbox was just a Trojan horse to get a multimedia machine into people's homes. Starting with gamers. Their true focus was competing with Apple on the multimedia level. The Trojan horse being introducing it as a game machine, but slowly turning it back into a multimedia box. Which they tried to do, much to the cha...
Wow. Looks astonishing. I cannot wait to play this!
Anyone who listens to a word this guy says, is as out of touch as he is. The only way he is ever right, is when he picks topics that are a sure bet. He is easily persuadable( see: $$$) and will work for anyone who pays him(meaning hes not above sellng his soul for corporate payout). My guess is, he has been paid by Microsoft to talk down Sony to scare away potential investors. Though, any serious investors would see right through this corporate ambush.
Microsoft has very few ...
Not a worry. They fit snuggly around the bottom of the rounded top of the sticks. They don't rub the rubber, as they don't move at all. They fit snuggly. Ive taken them off and on multiple times and have been using them since Christmas and haven't had any issues with damage or rubber wear.
I dont think you would ever have to worry about it happening, as again... They fit so snuggly, they don't have a chance to move at all. Which is the only way the would be ab...
Since when did they start calling screen tearing, judder? I think it's cool that Guerilla is giving the option to gamers to basically turn on Vsync. I hate screen tearing, there is no reason in this day and age, with the consoles being so powerful, that gamers should have to put up with it anymore. Either lock your games at 30 frames per second or 60 frames per second. None of this unlocked 30-35 frames per second that TVs can't decipher, hence the judder.
I'm gla...
I think what they need to do now, is tell people that buy the prologue that they will get $10 or $20 off the full game when it releases. It would save face for the developer and be a goodwill gesture towards people buying the full game. It would be a win-win for both.
$40 for a two hour game or even $30, is a bit out of people's comfort zone. You're basically asking people to pay the amount they would pay for 3 or more, 2 hour movies for 1, 2 hour game.
I thought this was already in development for the PS4. It looks incredible. I love the openness of the world and the realistic landscape. Not to mention, the crazy random encounters like the one in the video posted above. LoL.
Hopefully, we will hear something soon, as I would love to play it.
