The argument isn't about the score but the political nature of it. You should obviously know this, so don't play ignorance.
Hello that's why they give you the option of skipping the cutscenes. Why take a ding out on cutscenes if it's not mandatory to watch? You still get 20 hrs gameplay... That's just retarded. Technical flaws are flaws you can't bypass even if you wanted to. A cut-scene with a skip button getting a negative is just a biased excuse.

I'm starting to believe there is a certain amount of Western review Bias toward any games coming out of Asia. The reviewers preview was showering this title with excelsis. He was in every sense of the word, more emotionally involved in this MGS4 title than in the Halo3 review, and yet at the end, he throws an 8. But this isn't going to be the first or last time it seems. I just saw the IGN Uk review of MGS4, and they give it a 9.9.... I am like wtf? If its so easy to throw a 10 out Halo3 ...

Fine Jack, you want me to throw in that the 360 doesn't have a hard drive as well? OK. If the 360 came standard with a friggin hard drive, both the ps3 and 360 could've installed more gameplay content and GTAIV wouldn't be so limited in gameplay side missions.

I think Rockstar's design limitations on this game was a matter of storage problems with the DVD format. DVDs are fine for linear action games, FPS, and standard TPS, but when it comes to games like RPGs, and sandbox titles, the squeeze is very apparent. At least with RPGs you can break up locations into sections and fit them on to different discs, but not for a seamless persistant city. I think the downloadable content for GTAIV will be all the stuff Rockstar couldn't squeeze into a DVD9 ...
Guys you have to take it into perspective. Keep in mind that Rockstar had alot of hoops to jump to deliver this game. The biggest problem probably had to deal with the fact that they needed to squeeze next gen gaming as much as they could into a last gen format... DVD. Ie all those graphical eye candy, physics interaction, and lighting probably took up most of the space on the DVD for this game. I mean think about it ... GTAIII, Vice City, San Andreas, and IV are using the SAME disc space!...

It doesn't seem like too many of you have ever read up on cloning and the controversies of cloning particularly with regards to embryonic stem cell research. Microsoft is just ceding the competition on academic material b/c they can't turn a penny on it lol. They want "high commercial intent" so they can sell the information or make it subscription based. Very typical of microsoft.

besides Ign gave this game 3 8.0s for gameplay, presentation, etc, and 2 9.0s for blah. You'd think that would put the game at 8.2 if you averaged it.
If you look at Eurogamer articles on console title comparions, they are clearly a 360 supporter. Don't believe me read up on them. Don't go bashing on them as 360-haters. If they give a 7/10 to NG2 than that's just their honest opinion.
It just so happens to be a game made in Japan, made on a console from japan, etc. There will be biases that spans racial, political, geographical, national, brand, market, monetary, lines compromising any impartiality.
It won't beat GTAIV because of west vs east bias, console platform bias, and simply monetary gifting bias (ie whoever pays most for the reviews, gets the highest score - cough- Halo3).
