To add: When you can buy the native hardware now for less than $100 with some simple searching that will allow you to play any Xbox 360 game, digital or physical, right now with no long, unguaranteed wait.

So you want to play RDR on your XOne? Well, too bad it doesn't work. Black Ops 2? Doesn't work. Many Forza titles don't work. Grand Theft Auto doesn't work. One title out of all of the Assassin's Creed games work on XOne. Only one Fable title works. No F...

How is it "true backward compatibility" when 100% of Xbox 360 titles will most likely not work with Xbox One? Further many remasters are locking out the possibility of the 360 versions ever being playable on Xbox One.

The 360 was the exact same way. Taunted BC but never delivered 100% or even close for original Xbox compatibility. Even launch 360 models do not.

He's paid to give insight, not predictions. People seem to confuse the two.

The guy's not pretending to be psychic. He's giving information to people who are looking for it in accord with past and present information along with the knowledge of what each company claims for the future. Analyzing the situation of the company with what THEY provide.

@Crimzon: That might be due to business decisions made by Microsoft later in the lifecycle, IE all the focus on Kinect and casual titles

They highlight that as the plan in the article. NX is the new priority and they are moving away from Wii/WiiU to do so as consumer appeal has faltered with WiiU.

They even state in the article they are planning to move on from Wii and WiiU.

'“That being said, I can assure you we’re not building the next version of Wii or Wii U. It’s something unique and different. It’s something where we have to move away from those platforms in order to make it something that will appeal to our consumer base.”'

They pretty much just confirmed so here.

It's not a successor to the Wii or WiiU and is completely different.

They know it won't be as well or they'd be teasing the possibility of BC.

"Update – 2015-11-30

Due to popular demand, we’ve augmented the post to include a breakdown by major gaming console.

At Target and Walmart, the Xbox One + Gears of War bundle barely outsold its rival PS4 + Uncharted Bundle. Yet, strong PS4 sales at Amazon.com and other retailers were enough to edge out the Xbox One for top sales this Black Friday season."

Right there in the article.

The dualshock can take the place of a Nav controller. This has been an option since inception.

Not to mention it is an already existing Seagate drive, just preformatted for Xbox and with a green aesthetic.

You can actually find the same drive minus aesthetic then get 200GB cloud storage for $69.99. The drive highlighted in the article is around $89.99 right now.

It still costs over $100 and was sold three years ago as a "replacement" for roughly $172. From the article:

"The price of the gamepad is set at 12,800 yen (excluding tax). This equates to approximately $104 USD."

If they believe in the product they're putting out they wouldn't have to fear no money

Well, you're well on your way it'd seem.

Replacement GamePads have been available in Japan for some time separately. They originally sold for roughly $170.

They cannot do so as the GamePad is tied to the base console and does not actually do any processing of its own

Nintendo has already repeatedly said that while dual GamePads is doable they have no intention to do so as the resources needed would leave experiences dumbed down to simple checkers/low impact titles.

The WiiU OS already takes half of the system resources. With the way the GamePad is ran it is a large majority of those same resources. This spawns from having no real innards in the GamePad itself and the system doing the gruntwork.

Probably because individuals like yourself are talking up digital sales as a way to make up the gap between physical sales while ignoring that games do release digitally as well on PSN.

Also Xbox Live is having a sale on Black Ops 3 this week. Goes to show they couldn't have moved as much on Xbox digitally as some claim.

Black Ops 3 also sees DLC release early on PlayStation and, once again, is selling better on the PlayStation brand. The PS4 version is outselling the Xbox One version along with the PS3 version outselling the 360 version.

3849d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

I'm sure it does

When you also factor in there are bound to be digital PS4 sales as well...

Not your point, I know. We should be ignoring these physical PS4 numbers for the game in favor of digital Xbox One sales while ignoring PSN also has it digitally and has sales of its own. 😉

Just a bunch of old stuff. More coming next week I guess so we'll see.

Though with this being exclusively for its paying Gold members only it's not very impressive, particularly when many of these have been on sale even recently or given away free.
