That didn't happen in the Dead Space example as it was a PS3 game working on PS3. No real upgrade or extra work.

Modern Warfare is a PS3 game going to PS4, updated graphically and with trophies.

Then again, PS3 to PS4 retail isn't so different except in this example Modern Warfare, while an update of sorts, is a different packaged game from Infinite Warfare meaning you get two games for $80. Going from PS3 retail to a PS4 upgrade cost $10 with tit...

Why is this even a shocker? People wanting to get something for nothing...

Again, other games have done this in the past. Dead Space 2 had to stay in the drive for Dead Space Extraction to work which was included with Dead Space 2. PS3 to PS4 retail upgrades require you to keep the PS3 disc in your PS4, even after a full install.

They need to stop with the baby steps and just catch up already, particularly when it comes to Windows Store offerings.

The Windows Phone side in particular is a ghost town compared to Android and Apple.

If they choose to do a remaster it'll be a tad ridiculous imo. We've already seen enough of that with PS2 and PS3 games. If they start doing PSOne remasters take that as a sign of zero backward compatibility in the future.

I already dislike having to buy PS2 games again to play them, albeit slightly upgraded. There's really zero reason the PS4 shouldn't be able to have PS2 backward compatibility. If they start doing the same with PSOne games I'll be high...

It is in that ballpark right now.

Infinite Warfare will move 15 million at a minimum. Many other CoD titles have had no problem moving 20 million plus.

You're very correct. The same sort of saying comes up every time another Battlefield game comes out.

Yet here we are in reality where Battlefield doesn't even scratch CoD.

It'll be rather amusing for DICE to go on again about having a "CoD killer" just to fall flat on its face. The same line of bullshit comes up literally every time.

Like every other CoD title has managed to do for quite some time

So you've played Infinite Warfare and know what the point of the character is?

Color me intrigued. That trailer must be telling a hell of a story! /s

I have met Arab individuals who strongly believe in their culture. They were my next door neighbors for two years. I was just starting my family with one child born early on. They welcomed my child as a great prospect, giving him gifts both Arab and American.

We could talk politics and beliefs all the time with no worry. They explained to us the reasons for their standings as did we and could see mutual ground. The mother was older, her children in their late teens and olde...

And yet individuals complain about that.

There's even individuals complaining CoD glorifies American actions and they're tired of that. There's individuals complaining GTA needs to move away from the United States for the same reasons and they believe their country should be the next setting.

Before Zombies was strictly labeled as Zombies it was Nazi Zombies and you guessed it... People complained!

It's a big deal to Lebanese.

"To the common gamer this really means nothing. After all the last thing we need in our video games is political drama, ironically, even in a game about soldiers fighting each other."

They never state it has to be a selling point to you. Further they never claimed it had to be your perspective. They even state, within the first paragraph, that to individuals such as yourself it'll odds are mean nothing. The a...

@mattxd92@ Yes, must be Activision.

Until you realize upgrading to the PS4 versions of games from PS3 required you to have the PS3 disc in the PS4 to play if you bought retail. Even after a full install.

Dead Space Extraction via Dead Space 2 retail required you to leave Dead Space 2 in, even after installing.

Also since CoD 4 will not be available to all versions it will be digital. Not on the disc. Most games choose this option as pre...

Denying and ignoring the fact that the same titles have no problem moving on other consoles is what's telling.

Why in the world are Devs, particularly third party ones, going to start making exclusives for any Nintendo platform when other consoles have proven to move more units, offer more support, and actually make it easier for the same Devs?

Then the point still remains. CoD released on the WiiU with Nintendo touting the "superior version"...

What to gather rather you believe the numbers or not:

1) PlayStation 4 continues to be the top seller, again topping the other two consoles
2) PlayStation 4 sold nearly three times better than Xbox One. Nearly six times better than WiiU.
3) PlayStation 4 was the only console to move over a million for the month.
4) WiiU will likely see even lower sales in the future than it is already producing due to NX and a focus on 3DS before NX launch along w...

GameStop also sells digital content. Meaning they sell codes. They do have ways to validate gift cards and codes.

Activision didn't cash in much on Crash so its value shouldn't have skyrocketed much.

Buying back Spyro: Probably a nice chunk of change due to the Skylanders IP and Spyro being featured heavily in the first entry

Buying CoD: Definitely a nice chunk of change due to the money it makes every year

Buying Crash: Shouldn't be that much of a difference due to Activision not cashing in on the IP

Yes they will sell it separately down the line. It won't be any different than buying the special editions of the game day one. You get early access by doing so. Later they release to everyone.

The PSTV was also created for exactly that. A PS Vita that output to TVs.

"But if Macronix have successfully developed their next-gen chips (Which they were testing earlier this year) then it's perfectly plausible for Nintendo to make use of that new tech."

So they announced the system last year, have development going on at least internally, and went with an alternative available almost a year later along with not even proven? Less than a year from launch?

Would seem like a Nintendo thing to do. Keep costs of the...

With your statement at hand I'd say this:

It's not that they don't want to make money. They EXPECT to make loads of it. However it does not seem like they believe updating after inception is cost worthy or necessary. Even after announcing updates to SOME of their online workings they still lag behind, delivering half baked efforts.
