@Nyxus: I think people don’t want to believe a half argument with the other half instantly wrote off. Arguments that Digital Foundry also put out. In the same story.
“Curiously, while the standard PS4 and Xbox One have similar outputs here, it seems to be the Microsoft machine that has a small advantage in testing like-for-like scenes. Also surprising is the fact that the PS4 Pro actually runs slower than both of them, and noticeably so. At the top of the pile sits Xbox One X, handing in its native 1440p presentation mostly in 50-60fps territory.”
From the same story. Puts Xbox One X at the “top of the pile”.
I don’t have to have logic to say that Sony has not stated one little bit of what you just did. So until they do again, this isn’t hypocritical. They’ll be removing content with no replacement at this point in time.
And as evidenced above apparently the majority don’t have an issue with that, even if they’ll be paying the same.
Makes perfect sense right? Claiming the value could rise while arguing that the cost should stay the same? And apparently there’s...
You do realize that PS4 Pro was released before Xbox One X right? So why did Sony make the Pro then?
I have a travel cup so I don’t have the added expense when I go out. The point is you’re making the choice to buy that second cup, not being forced to.
That’s also the point. At this time there has been zero explanation about what will be added. They have made it very clear what they will be removing. So at this point Sony has a choice, exactly as I said in the first place. I don’t see upping cloud storage as a replacement to removing full titles and libraries. They can eit...
@2pacalypsenow: Games with customization options tend to have large save files. A lot of the EA games are like that with custom players, custom teams, custom stadiums or arenas, and so forth. The Madden games can have pretty large save files as well.
The WWE games are the same way.
Or maybe I know how to identify that going from the current program to the proposed one:
PS3 games
PS Vita games
PS4 games
Cloud storage
PS4 games
Cloud storage
It really doesn’t take a rocket scientist to identify they’d effectively be removing half of the current PS+ program and yet still charging $60 a year.
So again, there’s no twist. That’s effectively removing value.
...
But that’s absolutely stupid and not adding any value either. PSVR games have already been distributed by PS+.
I’m also positive more people benefit from PS3 & PS Vita games versus PSVR. There’s even more Vitas out there versus PSVR. There’s definitely more PS3s.
I like your coffee example but it’s poor. I buy coffee for between $4.50 and $8. What I buy with that amount of money provides me with over 200 cups of coffee.
I really hope they don’t think upping cloud storage is going to be a suitable replacement for two different libraries of games. Since they’ll be removing value they need to make up for that value or drop the price.
Not to mention another company gives out cloud storage to all users of their console for free, not just subscription members.
Considering you added a title that sold better...
Maybe that games sell better all the time? Many games.
Or maybe it had to do with an article that’s a combination of other articles full of information we already know. So an opportunity for actual fanboys to get their jollies off with sales numbers.
Would be neat for it to not be a mistake but I bet it is.
“Buy the PC version and receive the Switch version via SDK free”
But wouldn’t you be describing the plot? Like I do agree that is the premis if Resident Evil 2 but I also agree with the author. It’s not much of a story but it is a fun game. Plus with the way the mechanics are done it does create suspense and tension.
Resident Evil 2 always had a lot going for it and is a pretty sound game all around but I definitely wouldn’t say it’s known for its story. 😛
Just wondering here but shouldn’t it be yaay Sony? I mean by stating that Microsoft is to thank you’re eliminating out the fact that Sony, then, is being a follower of MS.
And I really doubt the decision came down to Microsoft. Or is Microsoft also dictating Sony decision making?
What a stretch. Comparing a feature added by developers and publishers alike to flat out ripping off manufacturers is disingenuous to say the least.
That’s an awesome deal. Game Pass for $1 is already a great deal with the selection of titles you can play. I think there are better services compared to Sling but for free it’s a nice bonus on top.
I don’t think it’s just Horizon honestly. Forza as a series is pretty solid. I do believe Horizon sits a little higher than Motorsport but both are accessible, both really play, look, and sound pretty phenomenal, and the adjustable settings options are always vast to change that experience into what you want it to be, rather that be more simulation or just arcadey sort of fun.
I highly like the car customization options as well. Being able to paint and decal your car in so ...
Uh, what?
Please explain to me the existence of PS4 Pro if Sony didn’t need a resource boost to gain, as you said, more power with more expensive hardware? If your statement were true there would be zero need and shareholders would be pissed, essentially because Sony then spent money on R&D along with manufacturing cost on something which as you say wasn’t needed.
Further there are multiple instances where Xbox One X outperforms PS4 Pro with not much ...
Why not do both? I do agree that streaming sucks FOR SOME PEOPLE me included but others do have access to faster internet and just want to play. For those individuals streaming will be a great option and faster than a download.
Plus if Microsoft really can deliver with less of a bandwidth requirement that’s more people that will be able to stream and an advantage over the competition.
@CaptainObvious878: Sure. A better payday, better insurance, and less chance of physical danger is so much of a downgrade. /s
@Dreamcatcher: Yet here we are on a gaming site where voiceover can be considered “killing it”. Actors and actresses also “kill it”. Both very much staged.
@Razzer: Except the author, in context and literally in black and white labels the Xbox One X version as “At the top of the pile”.
There is absolutely no reference to PS4 or any variation of PS4 version being put there short of your insinuation.
