Did you think about the reason though? I don't think LucasArts or Nintendo want to be responsible for making a weapon that will be swung about like that in the hands of all the kids who own a Wii. This does suck, but I think that they are looking out for the kids and the various liberal groups that will attack the Wii giving them a weapon.

Wage, you're forgetting that the nature of the PS3 and its firmware updates allows it to be relevant even longer than the PS2 ever was. The system was built for the future, and is more advanced hardware-wise than the 360 and Wii. To take a rumor like this and then transform that into what you're saying is a bit of a stretch. The 360 and Wii need to worry about "last-ability", not the PS3. Sony will truly begin to know what they need for the PS4 once the 720 comes out. Until then, yo...

I actually have to agree with your point and this article. I'm slow to follow what some say "Oh, Microsoft will just make a Blu Ray add-on, no biggie". I think it really is a biggie.

People act like Sony is stupid enough to have actually just blew it like they wanted to. Hey, consumers made Nintendo what it is today, and Nintendo has really tried their best and it has paid off. I believe Sony will have the "pie" back very soon, but for now let's just thank God for the competition which is driving both companies to give us their very best.

2. PS3 has historically its best franchises coming out this year.

Sure, the PS3 install base is small. It's barely a year old. But by the end of 2008, people are going to see a PS3 that is ready to wipe out even the Wii's installed base.
