Microsoft is starting to sound more and more like Toshiba.

Woah. This is basically a guarantee that it's coming to the PS3.

Of COURSE DD is the way! But in 18 months? Heck no!!!

It seems that Microsoft has chosen to avoid humiliating themselves by accepting Blu-Ray.

O.K. It makes things easier that way. I never wanted Microsoft to accept Blu-Ray. I like things to be different, and in opposition. We consumers only gain from this.

N4user1, you're spewing crap from 2006. You need to update your arguments.

Microsoft feels the dire need to remind people, recently, that they got their console out first.

Well, I usually look at the Amazon bestseller list to get a general view of market trends, and the PS3 is pwning 360 there.

Why can't I get paid and be called a professional for making such obvious statements?

Sony is in the position to be able to wait and see exactly what this price cut does and respond if they have to. I'm not completely convinced that this pricecut in Europe will have long-term effects.

Keep the pressure on Sony! Make them give us their very best!!!

Sorry pal, but you've never played anybody good in Tekken if you button mash your way to victory. :)

Calling it "bad news" is a bit much, methinks. You're underestimating Microsoft in their home country...Sony has an uphill battle and they are steadily going uphill, which is good.

Yeah, but the presentation of Smash Brothers is silly and goes quite well with kids and drunk adults who don't want to use their brain to play. It has explosions and silly sounds and cute faces and twinkles and....bleh. Childish.

And Mario Kart has a LOT to do with luck and randomness, which supports the idea that "anybody has a chance to beat anybody" and I personally like to have more control over my destiny. Hence Gran Turismo.

Sony only has to remain in striking distance before their great hits come out. The fact that they are this close and possibly winning on a monthly basis before their system sellers come is quite a sad fact for Microsoft.

Umm...I totally see his point. I've never understood the draw to the Smash Brother series. But I'm also a Tekken/Street Fighter/Samurai Showdown player. I can't stand games like Brawl, over games like Tekken. Or games like Mariokart over Gran Turismo. Just not into being a part of silly button-mashing and brainless fun over skill and technique. But that's just me.

I'm sure that for people who love brainless party games, this game is the jump-off. But me? Nah...I gladly ignore it...

GTAIV as GOTY? Heck no. It's going to be either this, LBP, or Resistance 2...but I'd guess LBP.

Would an MGS4 bundle sell like crazy in the UK?

Yes.

So will an MGS4 bundle be released in the UK?

Yes.

It's very simple. Sony and Konami and Hideo want to make money, after all.
