What are you going on about? Is it that the PS3 is a superior machine overall but you are put off simply because some people believe the hype? Of course you have a point about PS3 fanboys, but take away all the hype and the PS3 still Rocks big time. It's a bit wrong to not buy a better product simply because a few misguided people have bizarre blind faith in it.
What do you mean "Will win". Honestly, it already has. Deep down inside we all know this, even those of us with Xbox 360's Look at it this way. Put the two machines beside each other put a list of functions and features. list the future-proof elements list the ongoing costs (online gaming) rate the reliability (RROD etc) cost of HDD upgrade. Increasing range of AAA games.
Having thought about it a bit the main thing an RPG has is not only a character and a story arc but a character who does more than combat and level up. A character that has some kind of relationship with other characters and is affected by (and expresses feelings about) plot turns more than getting killed or levelling up. So does this include Uncharted, ratchet TOD. but not RFOM?
Someone has to say it so I will. Why have they not even bothered to make an Xbox rip off? They could call it Xboy, Zbox and add any numbers to the end. But I guess they are thinking Microsoft have already beaten them to it!!
What a shtie news item, there's nothing new here at all. did someone just send the 'interviewer' an old tape and he hashed it up? What next, the HD-DVD collapses?
This has to deliver something different in superhero gaming. We' can't assume anything. Terrain looks incredible, gameplay, even more. Shame there's no multiplayer or co-op
Mercenaries Looks like it is going to really Rock for sure. But there's a theme here, doing stuff for money - period. Army of Two, killing for cash wrapped in patriotism, Battlefield: Bad Company (BBC!)killing for gold wrapped up in fully destructible environment and glued with humour - well that's a bit better. And now Mercenaries. I wonder, do EA have a clause in what games they back from developers? Thou shalt have violence and destruction for the sake of money or gold, none shall ye...
The EA mentality is more akin to FOX news than Gamers views. Look at Army of Two, another game they ruined with it's unscrupulous and dishonourable ethics and principles. In most other games the rationale behind FPS killing used to be simple and sensibly removed from reality. It's clear that what EA were referring to when they used to say "It's in the Game" was Money. Fair enough, make a healthy profit but without losing integrity or respect.
Too Damn Right pal. The first thing I'm gonna do after the meteor hits is power up the generator, pull a beer from the fridge and get gaming. Last thing I want is to go outside into an apocalyptic maelstrom where believers from every religion under the sun are running around like madmen whilst the rest of the population are Fcu**ing like there's no tomorrow or looting to their hearts content. Nah, gimme a good old FPS anytime. Click the agree button fella's They won't let me add anythin...
It's just a matter of getting the quantum splits in synch with graviton emissions contained within a localised (and contained)singluarlity. The gravity field from the mass of the body on the board can then easily be converted to anti-grav counter force. The error in the movie was the hoverboard shooting ahead with no one on it, unless the board had the capacitor upgrade built into the rim enabling storage of enough energy to create force without any added mass. But the board didn't have...
Went off on a tangent there. Some of us will always want hard copy. so when the Hard drive crashes or the network goes down we can still play and share.
There was a time when some so called 'pundits' were forecasting that with the advent of the computer we would see the arrival of the paperless office. turns out this was a likely as the paperless toilet. Maybe in another fifty years time when broadcast capacity is in the x-Terabyte rather than mega or gigabyte scale. and storage has equally multiplied and is robust enough to handle capacity on a multi user level. But by then the worlds population would have shrunk due to global wa...
Look at the bigger picture girls. The way things are going - in the Uk at least - what with the underage drinking, average of three teen murders a month so far this year, and now video games. You can bet your bottom dollar that ID cards are going to be tied into purchases of certain products so you have to prove your age before anything is handed over the counter. If the swipe / scan of your Id card doesn't work then the sale can't be made.
I changed the 60gb hard drive to a 250gb drive a long time ago. Only took about twenty minutes. You are right about capacity and prices dropping. My thinking now is to simply have an external drive for the music, photos and trailer downloads and keep the internal drive for games or do another swop in a couple of years time if I need to.
Comments like "Neither of the originals were AAA how can their sequels be deemed AAA." disregards the simple fact that most if not all game developers always try to better themselves because the profit margins are pretty small and competition is pretty high. So KZ2 and R2 will be far better games than earlier versions. There are two factors against them. First The hype and 2. our (gamers) ever increasing expectation of how much of a "wow" factor next gen has to deliver. ...
