What they mean is that they lack the technical competence and /or commitment to produce the higher levels of quality the PS3 is capable of. The fault is theirs. If other developers can deliver incredible quality products on the PS3, then what's stopping these guys?
If I had a say I'd bet my money on Eight Days The incredible graphic detail, the technically perfect and seamless transition from cut-scene to actual game play, the visually dynamic and adrenaline pumping action. Anything else will be a 'meh' event

Isn't it the case that games are a part of that consumer world where you need to have it now? Like the latest movie, most games do their biggest sales in the first few weeks of release. Which means people tend to want them "now". When people decide they want a Console then they buy it, save for it or if they are non-earning 'youth' are expecting it within the year - as a birthday, Xmas, graduation gift. The Xbox was unfortunately a rush job just to get the jump on Sony. Add to that Microsoft's devotion to the profilt margin bottom line and we ended up with a console that fell far short of it's potential. It;s a shame. we could have had two fantastic next-gen machines but instead we have one good one, the PS3.

When Resistance 2 hits the streets the Halo franchise will be old school. The campaigns, on and offline game play have been incredibly designed and basing the story in 1950's Earth will bury Halo deep in the 'remember when' dimension.
Why on earth is Sony singled out when Nokia are probably the worlds largest cellphone producer, the Xbox 360 came out a year earlier. There are hundreds of electronic firms that may somehow be at the end of this horrific trade. Picking out Sony is sheer ignorance and narrow minded. I have not had a single problem with 2.40. Since Installing 2.40 we have played Assassins Creed, Resistance, Burnout Paradise, MGS4, Warhawk, Rampage, Singstar, watched a movie, listened to MP3 music, plugged in a memory stick and viewed, rotated, zoomed photos. Even played Hellboy science of evil US import (don't buy this game horrible camera, really horrible) So I'm in no rush to install 2.41. I have a 1st day 60gb machine which I swapped a 250 gig drive into about six months ago. It works fine with the 2.40. I'll keep ypou posted if the thing crashes
from what we have seen in the last four trailers, Insomniac seems to have raised the next-gen bar to a new standard. And Guerilla really have to deliver big time to match what R2 seems to be offering.
