So, and old game that was later called "not really a FF" game and many concluded that has annoying gameplay issues(no real elemental structure)which everyone know about..and you expect it to seel super well.
They hype has been gone for this game, and the fact that there are so many other newer stellar RPG currently available.
Man that was a fantastic showcase!!
Are they gonna do a showcase at some point, because this did not do it for me. Some of the games looked cool, but where the hell are the 1st party games, Sony use to knock people's sock off, it wasn't a terrible show , it had some decent looking games, but can I see a Wolverine trailer...like a lil bit, and I was hoping the GoW Metroidvania rumor was true..but nope.
The marvel fighting game looked cool, but I don't play fighters, Ni-Oh is cool, but I'm all ...
That would be fantastic! I love Metroidvanias.
I hope it's true, and while we at it, remake GoW 1,2 & 3, even tho they still look fantastic, they can look fantastico now!!! lol
Wolverine please!!!!
I think this late in the gen, if someone wants an Xbox they are buying it for GP, so PS5 being cheaper means nothing, and the fact they were getting trounced in console sales anyway.
So if someone decides $80 for games is too much, then GP, which is the main reason to own an Xbox is still a good choice. The upfront cost may seem steep, but you can save a lot on the software front, especially if you are interested with the amount of games MS have been pumping out lately.
They did make a big franchise VR game.
Horizon VR game launched with the system.
If this is true, then next gen will certainly be interesting, companion handhelds, along with consoles didn't fully work for Nintendo or Sony in the past, and now include MS, all 3 are throwing their hats in the ring.
The difference I see from then to now in terms of handhelds is cloud gaming, indies that can run on most platforms, and a large demand for older ports/remasters, and way better platform integrations between console and portable. Hopefully this all works ou...
Anast, how does it feel fighting a "console war" all by yourself?
Sony won the "war" and forced MS into being a multiplatform dev, who happens to have a console for those that want it.
There is no more to argue about lol.
Neutralgamer.
Well said, MS got their ass whooped into a working strategy lol. MS will continue to make consoles for the foreseeable future, but they are now capitalizing on what has always been their forte, Software, and platform integrations.
It's kind of similar to Nintendo in that regard, the Wii U did poorly, and made Nintendo rethink the whole console stance, and lean all the way into where the dominated, Handhelds, they consolidated their conso...
100% agree, GP has been phenomenal since the start of this year.
The best thing MS could have done was put it's games on every device, the silly console wars will soon be a thing of the past, cant argue when there is no one to argue against. Fanboys of one console or another should have zero reason to hate good games when it's available on their plastic box. MS lost, but won, and now gamers win by the only barriers is picking where to play these excellent games.
Silver, I disagree.
Nintendo sells consoles primarily off of their exclusive content that you can't get anywhere else ever. I will add that that content is regarded by many as some of the best in gaming, if not the best, along with a super loyal fanbase, nostalgia, and the most popular IPs ever created. The system will run exclusive 3rd party games as well as playable ports of current and future games for the next 4-5 years, the majority of casual gamers don't care ...
Fox,
That was a very straight forward, to the facts assessment to Sony's live service push, and I agree 100%.
I see a lot of people deflect, and somehow bring up MS, or just say everything is fine, which overall Sony is fine, but their Gaas push since 2022 has been terribly lackluster, and disruptive to their usual delivery of numerous high quality content that they develop.
Astro Bot was great.
I'm so ready, F'ing love Doom!
I will play this day 1 on S/X.
The first game was super fun.
It's called reaching, and it's a symptom of being stuck in a fictional console war, even though the game is on PS5 lol.
His entire post was a hard, hard reach that when he wrote it, he was absolutely aware that it made no sense, and haphazardly constructed, especially leaving out PS5, the largest install base. He could not fight the overwhelming urge because of his blind dislike of MS...so what does he do? he posted it anyway without care of embarrassing himself.
anast,
"At least the numbers I provided give a sketch of what's going on"
No sir, it did not, you didn't even count PS5 lol.
"By the looks of it not a lot of people are buying it."
Huh? Twitch and Steam DB is what your whole "Sketch" is based on, don't make me laugh, it doesn't even make sense, not everyone uses Twitch, and the game is available on way more than Steam, and...
Congratulations on a great remaster...I played the opening and man does it look great, and the combat hits actually has a bit of omf to it.
I will get to it at some point, still playing Avowed, South of Midnight is next, and then CO: E 33..Damn MS, slow down lol.
Yeah, let's listen to you anast and not an official release from the developers, because, you know, he used twitch and steam peak numbers and his calculator lol...
Not surprised,

Switch 2 just dropped for $450 with a $80 Mario Kart game, people ain't checking for FF16 on Xbox right now lol.
FF16 was shadow dropped.
It was a late port, that even when originally released on a more popular, higher userbase console didn't exactly set the world on fire sales wise, according to the developer.
The game got pegged as good, but not great, and hardly felt like a FF.
