Um...Ground Zeroes?
The problem is that retail, production, shipping, etc. are all too expensive for new games that aren't going to start at $60. Many games like Puppeteer have failed horribly with sub $60 price points, which makes most games at the price points kids games or other super low budget games.
Honestly, will anyone notice that much detail in the eyeballs? It really seems like a pointlessly ornate thing to worry about. I would rather that manpower to have gone into other things like story...
This entire situation has absolutely nothing to do with creating new games. If he was kickstarting a sequel we'd still be angry.
I'm not entirely sure what is with the disagrees but as I stated, I don't support Evolve's strategy at all. I'm simply starting that games in the old Atari days used to be over $100 and that $60 in our present currency is the cheapest retail games have ever been. Games like Skyrim and Dragon Age Inquisition are still offering enormous amounts of gameplay at these cheaper prices (just not Evolve).
I don't agree with Evolve's DLC strategy (at all) but I'd like to mention that $60 for a game is the cheapest it's ever been when you take into account inflation over the entire history of gaming. It's hard to imagine games ever costing more than $60, but the reality is that we've been paying more than that for years.
Developers can make whatever kind of game they want and critics can critic any aspect of the game they want. That's literally the definition of freedom of speech.
Did you watch the video? Do you even know how DayZ works? I don't understand...
Saying "Let's rape her" the moment you find out a player is a girl is wrong. Period.
Just so you guys know, this data is regarding cyber security and it's intended to help the government figure out how to prevent attacks like the recent Sony breach. It's nothing like the NSA surveillance controversy.
He's been in the industry for how long now? You'd think he'd learn to manage expectations by now. The backlash he's getting is entirely well deserved, press or no press.
To each their own. I have always considered Majora's Mask to be the superior game given it's incredibly unique concept, art, and story. Skull kid is also the most sad and relatable Zelda villain hands down.
Bought one of these to play Danganronpa for some friends. Great times.
I'm a PC gamer and I would rather them release all three versions together so that their combined sales can help them work through their next game.
Also, Witcher 2 was riddled with bugs when it launched and only got better when the Enhanced Edition came out alongside the Xbox port. Oh the irony.
How on Earth is that any of your business?
PC gamer and graphics programmer here. This guy clearly has no idea what he's talking about. Nathan looks great.
Cheers!
I'm going to say something extremely controversial.
Anita Sarkasian is a human being who doesn't deserve bomb threats or any of the hate speech she gets just for documenting a conflicting point of view. No, I don't always agree with her, but I think discussion about controversial topics is always good for a serious art form.
Let's see how this comment goes down.
JRPGs are not surging because the cost of developing one on a home console is now too high for any Japanese studio other than Square Enix to develop for.
That's why they're now on portables.
GamingBolt is garbage.
Hold on, forget about the game itself for a moment. Has anyone noticed that this article is literally 80% GIANT pictures and 20% text? I'm pretty sure I could have wrote more than this in middle school.
