mass effect is a shooter though. i'll give you dragon age, the combat in that game is junk. like playing an MMO without the MMO.
The combat is pretty weak. I think the developers made this game for people that are more interested in story and setting than gameplay. which is actually a li'l strange cuz it's a VERY unforgiving game.
kinda bs...the early adopters of the game have to pay for DLC on top of the 60 bucks we paid. they pulled the same thing with Fallout 3. very annoying.
there is nothing wrong with liking a bad game. hell, i like a ton of games that aren't regarded well by many critics. however, the tool above me stated that negative reviewers should be "destroyed" and suggested that sites like this give negative reviews just for the hell of it.
uh no, it's just a really crappy game. it's an unfair statement given by the typical fanboys of n4g.
if a site agrees with you, they are honest and good. if ...
couldn't disagree more. this is by far the most over-hyped garbage gave i've ever played. not to say it's the worst game ever...but it looked good and had so much promise and it was a massive let down.
the other reviewers (you know..the ones that make all their money from advertising from the publishers of these crap games) were being far too nice to brink. it's just a bad BAD game.
i wanted this game to be good...it was one of my most anti...
i say...better start exercising those ab muscles.
change the way we think of multiplayer in that when we think about multiplayer, we'll think about how COD blew it. they have a good thing goin here. they make a sub par game every year with minimal engine tweaks and they rake in a billion dollars. what kind of ultra corporate greed could persuade them to try to squeeze more money out of this? activision...you wanna make more money? make more than one sell-able game every year. blizzard can't do ALL the work.
COD always has a crappy story and sub-par graphics and it's the best selling franchise. i think you overestimate gamers' standards.
probably would be more difficult to market a hardcore game to parents if the ad is hardcore. keep it lighthearted and the parents are less likely to put the game under any type of scrutiny before purchasing.
@shok: of course man, this is n4g. sony could come out on stage, give everyone the finger. tell their die hard supporters (sad) to f*ck off, and everyone here would still say they stole the show.
i do think sony will put on a decent show, i just don't think it'll have ANY surprises. just their usual 5 minute game montages, a few lengthy, boring speeches by that fat dude talking about how playstation is surpassing all expectations, and a "special" appeara...
the difference between the 2, as far as i can see, is that sony doesn't keep a lid on their exclusives, so you hear about everything before e3. ms keeps a few things up their sleeve which is why their e3 shows always impress. they also just put on a better conference.
usually i find myself in greater support of MS, but this year i almost have to give it to sony. they def have the better known lineup so far. i think move was a total fail, and i hope they realize that to...
try 7 year old engine
listening to two people i've never heard of talk about a game nobody should have any interest in...meh...pass. but at least this comment will add to the heat. yw
Clayfighter?
i thought all the sony fanboys turned on Ninja Theory when they went Multiplat?
cuz you're a fanboy.
i enjoy both my consoles...but LOVE? ...wtf?
@babytown: +bubble
wrong, you'll just bring them out in bigger droves. these ppl thrive on drama. this is what people care about...their allegiance to a giant corporation.
no matter how you look at this (assuming you aren't a member of the church of sony), this is a pretty darn good deal.
couldn't pass it up
and if hackers get personal information from those other places, i'm sure those companies wouldn't receive 1/10th the unwarranted praise and understanding that sony receives.
you see, this is the blind support, religion-type following i'm talking about.
we aren't talking about sony vs ms or another company. we're talking about sony's own admission that they could have done a LOT better to prevent this. they simply weren't that co...
question...since we're all now PS plus members for a month...and the uncharted 3 beta starts at the end of the month, does that mean we all get early access?
