Is twenty minutes so terrible in the space of life and the universe? Exactly how much quicker does a ps4 install games?
Games are large now are they not, an external ssd is the only way I know of for speeding things up.
I'm definitely noticing the difference in fluidity in February vs December usage of the bone, obviously noobsquad DDOS didn't help haha.

I want to see dedicated offline modes for all home consoles starting now. Something in the way most if not all of the way the games are currently produced causes them to f#ck up in the most spectacular way without internet behind them.

The new maps and survival mode are excellent and really help to flesh out the game.
Having played every Call of Duty game since 2008 with the exception of Advanced Warfare for me titanfall succeeds where I feel cod has faltered-it is feels fresh and exciting to play every time.

COD's deal though is that it is COD re-skinned yearly, akin to Fifa or any other major EA sports brand with incremental improvements. People are buying into that because that is exactly what they want.

Lots of great looking games listed so far, I don't think I saw homefront 2 though-love the new direction Crytek is taking it, the E3 2014 preview really sold it to me. Add Rainbow, Forza 6 and resi Revelations 2 to my list, the order looks badass.

Perhaps I was trying to avoid obviously bringing the ps4 into this discussion and also highlighting that development had overcome significant hurdles in years pas. Likewise as the ps4 is also x86 based and easier already to develop for, then perhaps its sdk updates aren't quite as exciting. Of course it will continue to improve. Hell the new drivers for my midrange 2010 amd pc gpu allow it to play all but the most intensive direct x11 based games.

A one thousand dollar high end hdtv can and does substantially boost the graphics quality of any console game. Its not a cheap pursuit but even half that money in the right hands for a tv will challenge most pc experiences of the same price bracket. 500 dollar hdtv and a ps4 is still less money then a killer pc by itself, not to mention the convenience and ease of use.

The balance to me feels off, I've spent lots of time with bf4 post fix and it is easily the superior shooter. Recoil seems over the top in hardline, animation is at times awkward and difficult to jump in/out/over obstacles, how long now to throw a grenade or change weapon?

Definitely, I appreciate that the style was not for everyone but surely that could be said of any resident evil game, or any game period. I believe it worked 100% as the developer intended (especially if you saw the earlier footage still using the unreal engine) I thoroughly enjoyed resi 5 and have played the game through including mercs more than once.
I'm certain the game will be good. The Evil Within *Shudders* what a terribly broken game, the controls scared me as much as the content. I much preferred condemned though, the original was stellar and silent hills 2-4.

Articles like this are always fairly pathetic, so they could have made the games and features like that on PS3? No, of course not. BF4 alone is to me definitive proof of significant advancement, 64 players, 60fps, huge maps with real time lighting and deformation. BF3 was nice on PS3 but can't hold a candle to that.
