Doesn't change the fact that when the X1 is in more territories it will have more sales. Plain and simple. No matter how deep you bury your head in the sand, you can't change facts.
@Panda
The X1 is still selling at a good clip. And we are only a few months into this cycle.
You have to understand that all this doom and gloom is insanely premature. Install base with a large attach rate are the keys to success in this business. Even with the X1 selling 3/4 of the PS4, like all gens before it, Xbox gamers are buying games. THAT is all that matters.
You want proof? In 2012 what was the 3rd party support of the Wii like? Almo...
Digital was probably big for TF.
You're right it put them in 3rd, but what’s even more interesting, which people like you fail to point out. Is that Microsoft took 50% of Sonys market share. 3rd place means nothing in comparison to that accomplishment. Hell, if anything Sony failed last gen.
Great numbers all around, the videogame market is obviously doing very well.
EDIT: Not to mention first in software! Thank you SG1
I would love to know, what you deem as "so large"?
I ask because while MGS looked better on PS4 only the hardcore can tell. Yes if you do a screen grab, blow it up to a huge size and alternate it quick enough between the two systems, yes you will see the difference. That does not indicate a large gap.
I beat MGS GZ on X1 on what's considered one of the best TV's ever made (Panny GT60) and it looked incredible, played amazing, and the experi...
Your 100% right. Alas on N4G that matters not.
I love this conversation, because the only people still having it are the ones on these threads. If it was such a huge deal the X1 wouldn't sell at all, and the PS4 would be the only console available.
But that's not the case so who cares what the developer of Oddworld has to say. Well I suppose outside of the PS fanboys of course, who get off on this s***.
Content always wins. Period. Wh...
The biggest reason is online retailers don't require money down. So I could pre-order every game under the sun, and when it comes time to finally pay the piper I cancel the pre-order.
Heck even box stores allow you to move money to a different pre-order. So these numbers mean little.
The conversations on most websites focus on hardware sales. But in truth that means little, its all about attach rate (how many games are bought per console sold). Whichever ...
Its less relevant for a different reason. If you look at past pre-orders you'll find that the number errors on the high-side by at least 30%.
@Master. Not necessarily true. Sony has an exclusive deal with Ubisoft, and as such may have made it a clause that they can only talk about the PS4 version till a certain date.
This wouldn't be surprising as Blizzard has been quite hush about the X1 version of Diablo 3 till a few days ago, and yet cant confirm the existence of the game, even though it obviously exists.
Haha I was so mad for a second until I got the the article. Well played n4g
I know I sound like a lazy f**k, but I'm just being honest. lol
Way to go Microsoft!
You know I wish they reported digital sales. I have only bought a few games digitally (Titanfall and NBA 2K14) but the other day I had to put a disc in, and it was terrible. I would much rather just Say "Xbox, go to Game X". This has really changed my opinion on digitally purchased games.
I have a feeling all these games had a large digital presence.
No matter what system you have its ALWAYS quality or quantity. In fact in all things its quality over quantity.
I agree, Sony had a poor showing last year, but "won" because while MS focused MORE on the games, the policies they talked about, were quite unpopular.
MS will kill it this year!
And if anything is said bad about Sony, half of the fanboys heads instantly explode, and the other half come up with excuses why some of the creators or the biggest franchises in Sony history are leaving. And old standbys are sales numbers, and how much more fun games are t...
It doesn't have to all be existing franchises. In fact I'm sure most will be new. Remember they spent a BILLION dollars, with a B, on games for the X1.
Well said. Bubble up.
So you did it to troll? Well done
That's the whole point. The game is so good, it's faults don't matter
Someone from Respawn was recently interviewed and said that Sony had plenty of opportunity at the game and passed. And MS helped finish the game (with cash)
Will TF2 be multi probably. But ME was good to Respawn and they may have some loyalty.
