Microsoft in general has been downplayed this gen, just because the stupid vocal minority of Sony is bigger than the stupid vocal minority of Microsoft. Would have been impressive if he didn't use the mouse and keyboard. It's the same case for me, I can aim good witha controller, I can aim my best with a Keyboard and mouse, so this is practically pointless. Well Just Cause is not exactly a franchise that makes meaningful worlds, and I agree with you, on all your points, and while it could have been better, it was a huge refresh after I had distanced myself from Action Adventure genre, due to all of them being the same cover based shooting
Played UC2, bored in 1 hour. Played ROTR bored in 2 hours. Never been a fan of games that restrict me in terms of gameplay

As for the interest, it is subjective and I agree, that it is not exactly your typical linear narrative driven game, but it took on what made Just Cause 2 good and made it even better, but comparing it to No Man's Sky would be sin, because at least they didn't promise any features that weren't there
