Basically both are fun games,not some cover based shooters which have been saturated to the limit. Same is the case with Dishonored 2, it's simply more fun to play
What do you guys expect from an awards show? I mean in my country the Movie Awards are celebrated in the same way, with non sensical advertisement, non related people coming onto the stage and other stuff. I mean unless it's some purely Jury based decision like Oscars, I haven't seen many award shows where stupid stuff is not present.

Which game you liked didn't get the award? The agenda behind this article is as clear as day. I myself don't own Overwatch, but still I consider it better than all other games this year, even in my limited amount (7 hours) of playtime. I mean with all the Season Pass bullshit that every company is implementing, making trash ports, simply not innovating gameplay one bit, not supporting their games after release, trying to put zombies in everything, I think that Overwatch clearly stands...

I'm not going to judge which game should win GOTY, because both are good games in their respective genres, but there is one thing- Overwatch is liked by more number of players, has been supported by Blizzard since launch impeccably and since it's release, has had many kinds of game modes- I'm looking at you, Rocket league clone. I don't own any of the games, but I have played both of them for quite a bit, and it deserved to be GOTY.

Let's not forget the thing in consoles is their APU not a dedicated processor or GPU, so they can forget 4K 60 fps unless it's the low end ones running on the PS4 Pro, like remasters and indie games.
These guys crying about more TFLOPS lol. You do know that TFLOPS is just a big number. There are many major aspects on which the capacity of a GPU depends- Memory bandwidth, number of shaders, clock frequency, memory frequency etc. TFLOPS is not that great a deal.
I hope they do, it is a fun game otherwise.
