I agree, but at least the games he made were awseome. He is making System Shock 3, I am thinking that'll be great. But indusry icon shouldn't be given to Kojima, even if he has just kept grinding out games for Konami over the last few times.
I was talking about the stretched out scenes of MGS3 and MGS4. MGSV's gameplay is the only thing that holds it together. Unlike The Last Guardian or Deus Ex, MGSV or any of the MGS series are not thought invoking, they are mostly just stories, entertainment stories. Also the open world is pointless and the story is meh. The motherbase is useless for all practical reason, how it got a 10/10 from many publications is beyond me.
Wow, this list is comparatively lenient, the biggest disappointments for me were Gears of War 4, Rise of The Tomb Raider, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. The first two it's good that I got for cheap (GOW4 a bundle, I would have regretted buying that), and got ROTR for cheap with Just Cause 3, it's good that just Cause 3 lasted for 300 hours so the cost of ROTR was balanced, and don't get me started on Deus Ex, it has spoilt everything except gameplay that made Deus Ex and Deus Ex Human ...
There are many other good developers out there- Warren Spector being one of them, but none of them win awards for contributions such as SOTC, Deus Ex or Ninja Gaiden, rather Kojima gets it for making cut scene fests -_-, and a disaster of an MGSV, how did he get industry icon in 2016 -_-

Either you haven't played Deus Ex Mankind Divided, Mafia 3, Call of Duty IW, Hitman, FarCry Primal or you have just played these games.
