No one of the components of a game makes it great. When all elements come together- Gameplay mechanics, characters, story, etc come together to form an awesome game, then it's a great game

TBH they have mastered single player story telling

After changing your statement to from "you are on the money" to
"Never mind, you are clearly just one of those annoying people that like to complain on the internet. "

Yeah I am not one of those people who will sit back and let the worst companies drown my hobby from a form of art to a money making laundry machine. I refuse to stand by and watch this

I have not played it, but when my colleague live streamed it, I dunno who the girl was, she was on a sort of date with Noctis and yeah I can approve that the characterization is poor. It felt too much like overacting

Pretty ironic since being optimistic and having an opinion/telling the truth are two completely different things. Also take consideration of the fact that most common usernames on the site have been claimed, and rather than adding Xs and Os to my name, I got the name that no one on this site could think of easily

I would really like to say that you are a casual gamer who buys into the hype.... But then again, more than half the human population is sheep

Unfortunately :(

I have already put them in the comment just above this

Surprisingly enough I am against the opinion. Nothing against the Xbox One, but all your points are actually:

First backwards compatibility:
While Xbox may have 300 backward compatible games, I can't even count the amount of games I can play on a PC which are backward compatible.

As for 'A True Sense of Gaming', sorry but the controller is just not good for FPS or TPS games. Also for strategy games (Which are not there on consoles), a...

Sony is mostly hanging on a thread on many of their own branches- mobiles are dead, laptop segment has been sold off, TVs and Speakers, other companies like Samsung and Bose have equalled the competition. The only remaining branch I think for Sony is PS

You do understand that 1985 was for the USA and probably Japan. In third world countries it still came relatively late, as late as 1995 in some cases.

I know because I live in a third world country where gaming is considered a waste of time and watching movies or binging TV shows is OK

Perfect game? I dunno. Deus Ex probably has the best gameplay I have ever experienced, followed by Just Cause 1/2/3 and Minecraft, followed by Legend of Zelda and CSGO and many more. My favorite game though is Witcher 3 which is objectively the best game ever made.

I also like variety, which is the reason I am tired of third person cover based shooters. Didn't like Rise of TombRaider or Gears 4 either.

Wow lol.... Agreed...
Though I am surprised, which is your favorite game then? (Just asking, no sarcasm)

Classic shooters like Doom brought back gameplay from 1999. While I agree that it was fun, it is far from innovatiive. You know that the industry is out of ideas when they are having to bring gameplay from 20 years ago to impress the modern audience. I am a PC gamer, so not sure about TLG or FFXV, but from what I heard FFXV is not impressive. It is great, but nothing groundbreaking. Don't know about R&C as well. Also if you consider graphical upgrades as innovation, then yeah, 2016 wa...

Yeah coz the game threw me into so many cut scenes breaking my immersion and then the gameplay was meh, so nah, didn't get me engaged. If there are two things I don't like in games, it is storytelling through cut scenes and set pieces, both of which minimize player control in the game and also feel like movies.

If a game is not known for it's gameplay, then I feel that's useless. It's like saying a movie is good without good cinematography.

Deus Ex destroyed the legacy set by Deus Ex and Deus Ex Human Revolution. Being a fanboy of the Deus Ex franchise I was highly disappointed at how the game turned out. This was my most anticipated game this year and it was a letdown, a huge letdown at that. The only thing going for it was the gameplay most of which had been copy pasted from HR. Overall 2016 was bad. Just went on to show that AAA developers are just out of creativity points. HAd enough. Even Doom was highly repetitive, but th...

For FPS maybe, but overall it was similar to 2014, such a slew of disappointments from Mafia 3 to Deus Ex Mankind Divided

Just one thing- Games should never try to be movies and vice versa. In the gaming industry movie like games which have mediocre gameplay but great cut scenes are succeeding, but in the movie industry, when they try taking game like elements (FPP), they are failing. This shows that the Hollywood industry has matured over the course of time, well to be fair it has been around much longer than the gaming industry. The main problem with gaming, it has been stuck in puberty for too long, since the...

You do know that optimism is different from true bitter hard facts. So I am not the one who needs to change the name, you need to change perspective
