Apart from NV on top and Arx Fatalis in the list, I pretty much agree with it. Good games, in depth systems worthy of being called RPGs. Full blown RPGs.
I mean it looks good, but not next gen good tbh, it looks like a heavily modded PC version.
Ofc, when you have games so narrow in scope, you can push for graphics almost to photorealism. I mean Detroit: Become Human looks exceptional, but we know that it is nothing more than a glorified deecision making and QTE simulator.
Where is A Hat in Time? Instead Yooka Laylee dahek?
Whoa whoa whoa whoa.....
Some games use licensed music. Biggest example GTA. Most AAA games reuse tunes from previous works, just add a few layers. Not really the case with most developers, definitely not in the west.
I have a PC and a PS4, and I have used PS4's controller on my PC more than 20 times the amount I have used it on the PS4. And that is apart from the other games I play that aren't suited for a controller, like CSGO or Warhammer.
Nice.... Personally I want to interview Warren Spector, he is my personal "Industry Icon". Would love to have a chat with him....
It looks awesome. In my Top 5 anticipated games for sure.
It definitely does not. But it's a good game. That's it.
Well tbh.... The ones on Xbox side aren't exclusive and some of the ones on PS4 side aren't exclusive.
If Ori releases this year (Which I highly doubt it will), then that will easily be my contender for GOTY, from the PS4 side, I do see Yakuza 6 going up for GOTY contender.
Precisely the reason I am not buying it (Maybe being a zombie game could be a contender)
I think even the PS3/Xbox versions were 30 fps, yet millions of players completed them.... Logic much?
Nooo.... Please, just nooo....
The hair easily gives it away.
Mostly agre with the list, just that I think Zelda should have been there instead of Mario.
> One article clickbaits a game by one of the most popular platform exclusive developer on why some stupid "analyst" says it doesn't have broad market appeal
> Another article written by a fanboy (Looking at the site's name, not really surprised) goes live in the next couple of days about how the person saying such is wrong
All this without a single moment of gameplay show.
Gaming journalism at it's finest.
...
I would rather have the list as
Hollow Knight
A Hat In Time
Prey (Because I thought it was going to be a shooter till before a week of release when I learnt that ex-Looking Glass Employees were working on the game)
PUBG
The Escapists 2
Played both Zelda and Mario, don't see why they are considered the heavenly mana by the critics. IMO, Zelda unfairly got the awards, because Mario was more engaging to me than Zelda and at least played I Mario till the end of the campaign, each new area having new enemies, new obstacles, new abilities etc, basically having a sense of suspense of what I'll get to see next. They are good games, but I didn't feel any sort of attachment to the game. My personal GOTY is Nier: Automata,...
It'd be a tough choice honestly. Deus Ex is an extremely good contender with Witcher 3 following close behind. When you boil it down to the top 3, it'll definitely be Deus Ex Witcher 3 and Divinity Original Sin 2.
