And Super Lucky's Tale is a graphical powerhouse? AHAHAHAHA
I wish it were o Steam, not touching Windows Store with a 10 foot pole.
Developers have already announced the 1 million sales in total.
I dunno about Xbox, but if Witcher 3 is anything to go by, in which case out of 1.3 mn units sold in the first week, 0.7 mn were on Steam and 0.6 mn on GoG, I am certain that GoG atleast had 400k while Steam had 500k
That's the problem. People trust reviewers more than they trust themselves. Having an opinion is better than being a sheep and following others.
PS- Idc if people trust my judgement or not, but they should have an opinion of their own.
> Last of Us

Choose one.
And no Deus Ex or Souls games or E.Y.E. Divine Cybermancy or Hotline Miami or Rocket League or Bastion/Transistor or more recently PUBG. And that is coming from someone who has very limited knowledge of gaming.
No wonder PC Gamer has become shit, hiring 10 year old writers.
Oh yeah, I definitely feel that Last of Us and Horizon Zero Dawn are grossly overrated beyond measure. We might be spoilt for choice in terms choice as far as quantity goes, but quality is still a missing factor.

It's not like Cuphead is a mainstreamm title. Look at the number of people crying over it being too difficult.
@r2ob
Slipped my mind. My bad. Though, Nier Automata is already on PC and Nioh is launching on PC. Maybe that's why I took their names. MS adverises so much non-exclusives as exclusives *sigh*
I mean your argument is great. Yakuza 0 sold 108k units in launch week. Extrapolate that to that a week and a half an it would be 200k at max on a 60 million install base. Amazing hypocriscy?
Such a pathetic attach rate /s
I wish people like you could just stay off the sites like these- those who neither understand gaming variety nor logic.
Considering that relatively big titles like Nier Automata and Nioh sold about 2 million copies on a more than triple install base, I think 500k is good in a week and a half when we don't even have Xbox numbers or GoG numbers.
I am expecting another overrated game tbh....
I got Zelda, and it's definitely not worth the 97 on Metacritic that people are serving it. It's a good game, no doubt, but nothing that makes it starkly above anything good out there this gen. It has so many glaring faults, I would expect such a game to be 86-88 on Meta at best.
Anyone else think we could probably, by now do an article, 9 Articles That Have 'Secretly' Tried To Market Xbox One As A Better Console?
I hope you understand the difference between concurrent users and install base/user base.
Hmm.... That's a good question.... I doubt anything is replacing Nier: Automata for me. I am more of a gameplay first, RPG, action kind of guy, so any game that has a good gameplay loop or one that requires skill is my thing. I do occasionally delve into puzzle games, but more often than not, I end up leaving them, because in puzzle games it's not about where you are making the mistake, it's about whether you are able to figure everything out (Prime example is, The Talos Principle...
Ehh..... TBH... I am not the biggest fan of Sony first party "Cinematic" bs.... And if I were to choose between Horizon Zero Dawn (Or any Sony first party games this gen except maybe Infamous Second Son) and Zelda BOTW, I would take Zelda any day.
And if any person takes Metacritic or Sales numbers rather than his/her opinion to justify why a game is good, they are just an extension of a company's PR/advertising team.
As for the best games t...
Honestly, if you go according to Metacritic and don't have an opinion of your own... Then I dunno what to say...
But I played Zelda and it is definitely not worth the 97 it got on Meta. I would place it in my top 5 for sure, but it sure as hell doesn't beat the Nier Automata, Nioh or Persona 5.
I love everything about the game. But just like you said, "reflexes of a Ninja and patience of a saint". It reminds me of FURI, another game that I loved and was GOTY contender in 2016. This is definitely going in my GOTY contenders along with Nier: Automata, Persona 5, Nioh and Yakuza 0.
I mean it's not fully valid.
This is my second Nintendo console after GBA and I am playing Zelda currently, it's pretty enjoyable. I have a PC and a PS4 as well and while PC has it's share of CSGO, ARMA and some RTS from my time, the PS4 has a few handful of games that I enjoyed (Including remasters)- Persona 5, Yakuza 0, Infamous Second Son, Bloodborne and Nioh(Which is no more exclusive)
I think it'll solely depend on how Mario Odessey and Xenobla...
You do realize that Sony just published the game in the west and not funded it's development.
I do agree with your statement of any game being considered the best by the masses as the best is overrated. But then again, Witcher 3 is not a mass product like Skyrim (Which I don't think is an RPG at all) or GTA. Great exaples of RPGs this gen are Persona 5, Soulsborne games, Nier Automata in recent times and Deus Ex, System Shock, Fallout etc on the overall list.
Just another zombie game smh....
Also we all know connecting it to Zelda is to gain the hype that comes from the crowd that follows Metacritic which is a huge bunch of sheep.
Zelda has dynamic gameplay (Not just dynamic weather) to go with it. All the mechanics in that game coherently work together in many cases to provide interesting results. I haven't seen any Sony first party game implement half the number of mechanics that Zelda has, let alone combine them intresting...
