Tbh it's a tough competition between Arkane and ID. But Arkane and ID are the only AAA developers I trust right now
Exactly. It was a nice surprise. Previously they have been cringe fests with only one or two good announcements.
The only thing missing this time was Persona 5 Royal PC announcement aaaa
When is that coming to PC.
*claps slowly* for two reasons
1. Demons Souls - A remake made exclusively for PS5
Elden Ring is an original IP made for cross gen consoles
2. "not impressed by the graphics"
From soft has never been about graphics. It has been about an immersive, reactive world with good gameplay and cryptic lore.
I mean, it took two generations to make Demon's Souls look that good. Creating worlds like Dark Souls i...
Unironically PC Gaming SHow was the best major show. The others were pretty meh.
Small shows on the other hand felt like actual E3 - Tribecta Games, Devolver, etc were soooooooo much better than all of them.
Even the Summer Games Kickoff was much better but I think my bias may be because of From Soft on that one.
Even with 0 bugs, the game design is pretty shite.
Man I can't wait for the NG trilogy.
Hope that Team Ninja makes NG4 in the veins of NG1/2.
Ninja Gaiden, if it can have the technical ambition it had back then, will be one of the handful games I would pay 60$ for.
That is true, but even a lot of games made by Indians don't have Hindi language as an option.
This is the first western dev studio to do so despite studios like Rockstar and Ubisoft having much more mainstream appeal here.
"The game at it's core isn't bad"
Yes, it's a mediocre looter shooter with RPG elements which is the jam these days.
I like how this comments section is divided.
CDPR lied - As much as people say, "Oh but the game's early versions are different from the versions they release". It is bullshit. They lied about a ton of features that were cut. https://www.reddit.com/r/cy...
This wasn't done with WItcher 3.

It looks like just another Ubisoft game.... Crap.
Style doesn't save a game, the background mechanics do. DMC is stylish but also has the deepest combat system to exist in any single player game.
Also, the theory behind cult classics builds on what is said in the article:
"dull and repetitive to actively trying to sabotage the player"
Modern gaming is spoilt by the requirement to pat the player on small achievements and provide them with instant gratification.

1. Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio - No game has been bad. All games have had some experiments and even if they don't always work, you can always be assured of the quality of world building.
2. From Soft Games - I feel their games are being kind of casualized. Bloodborne was easier than Dark Souls and Sekiro became even more easier, but again, they retain the quality of everything they do around the difficulty.
3. Id Software games - Probably the oldest one on m...
Most PS4 AAA games look better than this.
Tbh a narrative that only a handful of writers could make.
I would be hard-pressed to find a story similar to Nier's and in all these years, the closest any game has come is Biomass. No one has heard of it and yet it is in my top 10 games of the last decade. Though it is more of a 2D metroidvania, I think it is one of the most uniquely designed games ever.
The gameplay is not as much a highlight of the show as the story is.
I also imagined the same since Doom is the forefather (technically big brother) of FPSs and I would still take any Doom game (except 3) over any Halo game.
Would this be categorized as port begging?

Oh this time clickbait is earlier than expected.
Funny part is DMC5 special edition came with Legendary Dark Knight mode.
Which essentially fills the screen with enemies.
I am hoping that we get news on The Last Night. That game was very similar in terms of aesthetics to Replaced and was announced in E3 on Microsoft's show 2-3 years ago
