But, a game is not judged purely on its animation/visual quality (?)
Most of my GOTYs in the last 5 years have been below 90 on Metacritic. Metacritic is a shit place to judge games because of the lack of quality in modern journalism and their tendency to pander to the wrong people.
2016 - Tie between Doom and Dishonored 2 (85 and 88 on meta)
2017 - Nier Automata & Hollow Knight (88 & 87)
2018 - Celeste (88)
2019 - Devil May Cry 5 (89)
2020 - Biomass (didn't get a metacritic score because it wa...
This article feels like the author hasn't played Dishonored 2 specifically (?) even if they might have played Dishonored 1.
The entire story is amazing. One more stand out moment is when Peter is texting MJ when she is annoyed by him. The text pop ups, the stunning shots and the way them talking like two actual people talking felt so Spiderman-esque.
And thank you for the shout out. Much appreciated!
Tbh my issue was the same. The world felt pretty barren besides what they had designed for it.
I feel that people don't give enough credit for how good Insomniac has written the story.
They smashed it with the narrative.
Sad really....
Funny part is the game itself looks uninspiring.
At this point idk which is worse in terms of recycling the same old shit - CoD or Ubisoft franchises.
Besides, that, it'l still play like the 20 gazillion other Ubisoft open-world-mediocrity-brimming games
You really expect id levels of optimization from Ubisoft of all places?
That's been all FarCry games or rather Ubisoft games since the turn of the decade.
Before someone points out, For Honor, Child of Light, R6S, don't. These are exceptions.
There is a sequel - Mankind Divided. Gameplay systems wise, that is a better game but narratively Human Revolution takes the cake by some margin I feel.
Getting excited for a cinematic trailer for a AAA game in 2021.
Fool me a hundred times, I'll still eat shit up.
Ok seriously when will "journalists" understand that there is a difference between "FREE" and "XBOX LIVE GOLD PAYMENT".
Can we report this as inaccurate and please have basic informed journalism.
CDPR deserves every bit of shade they get for their absolutely horrendous launch of what I would call one of the biggest disappointments of the decade.
Who would have thought CDPR will fall to the level of Ubisoft, EA and Activision.
Sad really, because it is an excellent game.
Hades feels like the culmination of all the good work Supergiant Games have done over the past decade and they very well deserve the success they got with Hades.
I think there is a massive difference between a critic and an asshole tbh
I mean there isn't anything wrong in liking a mediocre product.
Many people like Fast & Furious or idk whatever Hollywood is peddling these days.
Sales will never be an indication of quality. In fact, the thing that sells the most is usually (focusing on the word usually because USUALLY people perceive USUALLY as ALL THE TIME) a mediocre product meant to server the lowest common denominator of the crowd. And tbf, from what I have seen, Battlefield is more complex than CoD anyway.
Not supporting Battlefield btw. I am not buying either because both look as uninteresting as the previous games in their franchises - formu...
