Console performance is always going to be a handful of years behind tech already on shelves for PC. Console is always trying to play catch up, though they're usually an entire generation, or even two, behind at launch. It only worsens from there.
Just addressing the small few on here who have defended this game to no end, despite the writing being on the wall long ago. Now we finally have the preorder numbers, which are significantly lower than even the abysmal open beta numbers. The question is now; will the game go free-to-play in a few months, or just be axed entirely.

Again ... it's not a spectacle fighter. It's an RPG with combat based around stats and abilities based on different character types. They didn't design the combat to be flashy. They designed it to be fun, but deep. They didn't design this game around being "cinematic". This isn't a game where you just mash buttons until the game ends.
The "your PC needs to be the exact same cost of a console or comparisons don't matter" is old, and easily shot down. Is your console a full blown PC? Does it have backwards compatibility dating back to beginning of games itself? Can you emulate virtually any console and game on it? Mods for almost any game? Multiple storefronts meaning better pricing on games across the board? Access to almost any controller configuration you want to use? Free online play?
A ...
The 360/PS3 generation did that for me. Even just mid-way into the generation higher fidelity games started getting obnoxiously blurry and aliased. Saved for a few months and built a pretty high-end rig for the time. PC has been my main platform since then.
Not a big fan of grid based combat but, still, pirates. If the RPG mechanics had are in-depth I might still give this one a shot.
Bungie's Destiny is dying, years spent on various projects that never released, and now $250 million spent on a lackluster title that is dead at launch.
Yeah; their live service track record is pretty abysmal.
That's also because they typically focus on either Switch or Playstation for their initial release, while the PC port is usually focused on post-release. If they have a dedicated team working on PC from the get-go, then a lot of the headaches can be avoided. That's if they do want to step up and really make the PC version shine.
Avowed also isn't a spectacle fighter that focuses on one form of combat and juggling enemies.
The demo from years ago was pretty underwhelming, but it seems like this project is shaping up nicely. As a huge fan of the Gothic series I am cautiously excited for this one.
I guess that EPIC check wasn't all that it was cracked up to be.
Very excited for this one. Love the Pillars universe. It's nice seeing Obsidian on a reasonable development schedule and with proper funding.
That's because console only players think they're entitled to a $1000+ gaming experience for $500 or less.
Cue the same handful of people who will protect this game to no end; saying the game is getting unfair criticism, despite the fact that 99% of the population couldn't care less. With most of the ones that do still just waiting for it to go free-to-play.
Good. More devs should be doing this on console. I usually push my PC builds for a good while, so I use FPS limiting and other stuff like this to get the most out of my parts before upgrading. 40 fps feels much smoother than 30 fps, despite not being all that large a jump.
I like Gamepass.
Nobody's truly "innocent" in Counter-Strike lol
I'll wait and see. Wasn't really a fan of Callisto but I'm a big fan of roguelikes, and this looks like it could be fun.
Console wars are pretty pathetic. So many simply can't enjoy gaming for gaming's sake. They have to choose their plastic box of preference and basically turn it into their personality; like a cult.
Yeah ... that will be a hard pass for me.
