Make a big deal pushing the more expensive versions and the early access to the super fans, then screw them over after the fact. Nice one there, Ubi.
Already own the originals (the first on PS2 and the second on xbox), as well as the GoG versions. It's dumb they're getting delisted, but it's not like they're hard to emulate either.
Yup. Early Access and already has 90k players. Gamers just don't want certain hero shooters. I won't name names.
Yes. Consoles getting more and more expensive the further we get into this generation. It makes sense, as long as you don't think about it.
I actually might have even given it a shot (on sale) if it did have PvE. Eh; missed opportunity.
Oh no. I already have a great gaming setup. I usually grab the consoles late just to play the exclusives. Everything Xbox already comes to PC, and now a lot of Sony stuff is ending up there too. Probably just skipping this generation, though I do have a Series S that I won which I use when traveling.
I was thinking of doing the same thing as last generation and wait until I could grab a pro and all the exclusives I wanted to play, on the cheap, but with more and more games coming to PC relatively fast I'm not that worried about it.
Idiocy, with help from Bungie's online "expertise".
Looks pretty generic.
I'll keep my eyes out for this one. Looks like it could be a lot of fun.
Was really looking forward to this. Day one on Gamepass so it's a no-brainer.
Not even getting my hopes up on anything involving this until it's actually confirmed.
100% agree with everything you've said. All they were trying to do was strong-arm themselves to the storefront leader and quickly.
Day 1 for me if so. I have an insane amount of hours poured into the game.
I mean, they only have to sell 7 million copies to recoup the costs of development and advertising ...
There have been plenty of female leads in gaming over the years. People only get annoyed when they push it purely for brownie points.
The only people who make a big deal out of it are people like the writer of this article and, well, you ... apparently.
"The First Descendant. F2P live service done right"
I'm legitimately laughing while typing this.
"hate from gamers who haven't played it yet"
And they'll continue to do so. The vast majority of gamers literally couldn't care less about this game. They don't like the characters. There are better, more feature-rich games already on the market, for free. They don't feel like paying for a lesser experience than free games are offering. They didn't care about this when there was a free open beta, and most probably won't care when it ine...
Yes. This sort of attitude will definitely get people flocking to the game lol.
Amazon's game division has a very hard time making games happen, eh?
