/s would have done you wonders, my friend lol
I don't see why you are getting hit with disagrees. Sony hasn't announced anything about TLoU2 or GoT coming out in 2019. They could, most definitely...but they could not at the same time.
In fact, he says "maybe Dreams", but Dreams is the only one that has been given a 2019 release date...
Well I hope so.
Physical games that force you to download a portion of the game in order to play (looking at you Spyro)
@UCForce
God of War is a fantastic game, and definitely deserving the award.
As for it winning the award changing the game industry? Well, I disagree with that. It's the game itself that influences the industry, not the fact that it won some award. If it didn't win any awards it'd still have the same impact, I feel.
@-Foxtrot
Nintendo was also relevant when various exclusive games were announced for the platform and Joker was confirmed for Smash Bros. I'm not sure about the exact data, but despite them not winning an award directly they were a major talking point surrounding the Game Awards.
Regardless of how you personally feel, that does make them relevant as people were talking about them.
Batman Forever on the Sega Genesis.
They tried to copy Mortal Kombat with digitized sprites, but fit it into a side-scrolling action game. It seems they even ripped the combat moveset straight from Mortal Kombat as well. The rest of the controls are awful as well. How was I able to use my grappling hook just now? How do I do it again? How do I stop using my grappling hook? The game doesn't really explain, and I'm pretty sure there was a second delay between when I ...
Animal Crossing is also a big seller, actually.
@neutralgamer
You can't just assume that though. Just like you can't just assume Metroid Prime 4 will come out in 2019 either.
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.
The sound track, the atmosphere, the Scarface and Carlito's Way references, and, of course, the never ending hellish fun. Honestly, I can't believe I was able to buy this game as a 13 year old, and I still go back and play it once a year.
I'm pretty sure that Ghost of Tsushima and Nioh 2 don't have release dates/years at this time. They might come out in 2019, but I think they should go in the TBA section of PS4's list.
There are a lot of games that I'm really excited for with unconfirmed release dates for Playstation right now, like Ghost of Tsushima, TLoU Part 2, Death Stranding, and Nioh 2. Since I don't really know if they are planned to release in 2019 I'm going to say Switch has the better line up. But that could change as Sony announces more games/release dates.
Skyward Sword actually made use of the gyro in WiiMotion Plus. It didn't actually use IR motion at all. It still was flawed though, and the gyro in Switch seems more accurate.
For me it was Super Mario 64. See, I'd played Super Mario World and Sonic the Hedgehog at friends houses. They were fun games, and I'd tell my mom about it. My mother decided to buy me my own games console, but by that time the Genesis and the Super Nintendo were on their way out. Instead, the retailer suggested the Nintendo 64.
I opened the console up on Christmas. I was excited to hook it up, but when I began to play it I was completely enthralled. I was fairly y...
@Sirk7x
I've heard great things about it! Someone said it's like Metroid meets Bloodborne. Which both of those are some of my favorite franchises/games.
This year wasn't as good as last year, but I don't necessarily think it was bad.
Some games I bought for the Switch this year:
-Kirby: Star Allies
-Bayonetta 1 + 2
-Project Octopath
-Crash N'Sane
-Wolfenstein 2
-Mario Tennis Aces
-Ys VIII
-Valkyria Chronicles 4
-Super Mario Party
and soon Super Smash Bros Ultimate
@Tekolie
One correction, Project Octopath is a spectacular game in my opinion.
First, it's not "completely sourceless" if it gets data from retail stores, even if the data are just small samples.
Second, these are always tagged as rumors anyway. You don't need to continue to flag these and comment the same comments on all of these articles like I've seen you do repeatedly. These fall within N4G guidelines.
@sampsonon Pretty sure it's relevant for september to correct someone with a reply to a comment that misinterpreted the article.
I really like unlocking characters, actually. It gives me a sense of progression, and then I can try new characters I may otherwise not have touched. This is a large reason why Mario Kart 8 Deluxe only has 20 hours of play instead of 50 or 60 like Mario Kart games typically net me...almost all characters (minus Gold Peach) were unlocked from the start.
