Didn't everyone except the most loyal Google fans see this happening 2 seconds after they made the announcement of Stadia? I never understood how it had a chance to succeed when MS has Xcloud bundled with GamePass and had much larger library. Other than the "I hate Microsoft because they're evil" people I didn't know who would use Stadia.

I love how people quote sales numbers like fact when they actually haven't been announced (and won't for any hardware MS Sells). MS and Sony are both selling everything they make, which is great for both. I fail to see why Switch is even compared, it's a budget handheld system at neither MS OR Sony view it as competition.

Why? The price hasn't increased for people that are renewing.

They can't until the deal is legally finished purchase of Zenimax. Looking at my crystal ball... After that's done, I'd guess most games that are near launch at this point OR have contracts with Sont will me multiplatform. IF it's a GaaS more likely to be multiplatform. Every other game will be exclusive to the Xbox platform. That's why you guy all those studios.

I love how people think the only 2 options are Internal or "expensive" charge packs.

1) the charge packs aren't expensive
2) I don't know any people that don't have rechargeable AA, AAA, C, D batteries for their house. So it's costs me nothing extra to use those in my controller. I prefer that over internal batteries which noticeably lose thir ability to hold charge over time.

Impressive numbers since Sony and Microsoft haven't announced sales figures. I like making things up too. I heard Sony already presold 150 million copies of Last of us part 5 while Microsoft sold 98 million of Halo Infinite. Weirdly, all those were physical copies.

What makes you think it's currently isn't sustainable? Xbox has seen substantial revenue growth fueled hy GamePass. Most games in GamePass aren't GaaS and those types of games aren't needed for a subscription service like this to work. The model for it to work isn't GaaS, it's a steady stream of new games being released so people stay subscribed. You want people playing more games, not dedicated to 1-2.

Right, GamePass isn't free, it's $120-$180 a year depending which level you get. That's the same as 2-3 games purchased at launch; something I, and most people, easily did before. I've played so many more games since GamePass came out because I don't have to pay for them. Truly amazing service. That's why people tend to view it as "free games." GamePass pays for itself after the first 2-3 games you download.

That's impressive considering I don't believe Sony has reported sales number and Microsoft doesn't. Even if we had those Xbox/PS should be called "number manufactured" since they'll both be selling every single system they make instantly u til mid 2021

Duh. The feedback the Xbox has had on its controllers for the last 7 years is great, what Sony did is a nice evolution of that, but it's a marketing play in the end. It's a feature that, at best, needs to be able to be turned off.and at worst obviously will be something that breaks a lot.

Same, but also the Witcher 3 for me. I can't wait to play it again. Also waiting to play Cyberpunk until the Series X version.

Turning off as much of the HUD as you can is the best way to play IMO. Completly different game without the mini-map. I noticed so many more details in the world because I wasn't looking at it the whole time. I got 100% of the achievements on Xbox and can't wait to go back when they rease the series X upgrade.

@CaptainHenry916 you mean like Ori, Wasteland 3, Flight Sim, and Gears Tactics... all came out this year. The 3 I mentioned earlier would also be AAA exclusives.

Medium, Mechwarrior, Crossfire X, and more coming soon after their covid delays.

Yep, and it looks amazing. Love this game, can't wait for Star of Decay 3.

@DragonWarrior19

Playing off that stereotype was meant that as a joke, sorry it didn't come through that way. I really don't care how people play their games, whatever let's someone enjoy the game more for themselves is all that matters.

Maybe but I hope not. In theory I'm OK with the idea of jumping to objectives, but they should deactivate trophies/achievements. Maybe have another type for when you get it that way? Call it "Millennial Trophy." We're going to give you something because you feel entitled, but we both know you didn't earn it.

That's not 100% true. Bad games can capatalize on marketing buzz, pre-orders, and FOMO to do well. Yes, they won't have long - tail sales. Great games may sell well eventually, but they can also get lost in the shuffle, and will likely never reach the same level of sales (or revenue since they'd be grabbed at a discount later). This game is a perfect example. I'm excited to play it, but won't for a long time. As the "main game" I play, I'm going to finish AC:...

Sweet! I loved 1 vs 100, so ahead of its time. Glad they're finally going to bring another trivia game to the market.
