I'll keep my fingers crossed for you but very unlikely for this or any Bethesda games that area GaaS like Fallout 76. You'll likely have to upgrade you PC or get an Xbox.
I was/am hoping it was "American Football Manager. Everybody seems to go acrade over the top, but EA doesn't have exclusivity in strategy games. J
Why is that deceptive? They make money off GamePass, and unique users and average playtime is far more important than a sales figure.
You sound like the old man shaking his fist at Netflix and Spotify saying "buying CDs and DVDs is the present and future. Subscription services are a fad."
@TheRealTedCruz
You forgot to add "Xbox has no games."
This one slipped past my radar. I'm really looking forward to Mechwarrior. Crossfire X, and Stalker 2, and going to have to add this to the list. Looks great. Plus will fill that Cyberpunk hole until CDPR releases their next-Gen upgrade.
Streaming games still isn't possible for like 90%+ all people. That's why little hype. Game changer for me on a couple trips when bad weather hit. Nice to fire up some Xbox on my tablet and continue my saves while stuck in the hotel.
@BlaqMagiq1
I agree with you. It was a personal answer for me.if you love JRPGs, Xbox is a bad choice. If you love western RPGs, its likely the best console option going forward.
They don't litterally own all the western RPG studios. MS does own most of the major ones though.
@Aquafiniac
You realize quick resume isn't leaving the game open? That's not how it works, it doesn't impact performance at all.
@Deathdeliverer
What? I don't like JRPGs. I like western RPGs. MS owns Obsidian, InExile, all the beathesda studios, and more. They own almost all the major western RPG studios. Seems that makes Xbox a great place to play RPGs.
Xbox obviously going forward. I'd be my choice for all-time too. All the back catalog games they have, most in GamePass, and they own pretty much all the major western RPG studios, so all new ones will be exclusive to the Xbox Platform and launching in GamePass. (I'm excluding PC in my answer since the article says console)
They have 30 exclusives coming out this year and have had several since launch. Crossfire X and Mechwarrior are next to release I believe. Also the best place to play 3rd party games.
Obsidan are masters at RPGs and they've had several since new Vegas that are even better. I'd give them a try. Personally can't wait for Avowed. Also, since MS owns Fallout and Obsidan... always a chance they make another Fallout game too.
I don't see why Xbox would care. They DID NOT say the Xbox Division hasn't made money. They said they've never turned a profit on the hardware sales... which everyone should've already known.
You get all the number you need to gauge Xbox success. They announced (3.5 billion I believe) in revenue last QT. Number of units doesn't matter. Revenue from the division and active users is what's important.
Exactly, which I a big reason why hardware sales number don't matter. Revenue from the software is the most important part of the console business.
This was inevitable when they declined to be acquired by MS. Going public they'll now partner with PS, MS, and probably Nintendo to back-end on all platforms. Which is great with cross-play being more popular. Matters 0 for me personally because I don't cross play with any friends, so I don't need universal chat, but for those that do this is a big win.
Dude, don't say hardware sales don't matter to a Sony friendly site. Most people don't understand SaaS, even after Sony has said system sales are a bad metric. Fan boys will cling to it.
For reference...
Earlier this year in July, Phil shut down the idea of Game Pass coming to other platforms, suggesting these other companies "aren't really that interested in having a full Xbox experience". And earlier this month, he reiterated past comments, stating how Xbox games need the support of the full Xbox ecosystem.
MS has ready discussed GamePass on other systems and it isn't likely. Nintendo would have to allow for people to login to their Xbox Accounts and it'd basically run as a walled garden inside the switch, it wouldn't be just another app.
@Deathdeliverer you 100% right, it would have to be the Xcloud part of GamePass. Technically possible then but Nintendo would likely never allow MS the level of access they'd need to do it.
