"O well let's get this God of War fired up!!!"
Meh, not my cup of tea but I'm all for it as long as it keeps people like you from posting this crap for a while.
I'm interested in hearing what issues it has and how 1X's performance differs from that of a PC? If it was in the video, I apologize, but I don't have that much time to watch the video to find out.
@ Derek
That's not entirely true because anything a new game does, a less powerful machine will still be able to run by scaling things back. 1080p vs. 4K. Different LOD scales. Less particle effects. Whatever though, think what you want.

"...the PS4 can put out games more beautiful than what you will find on a several thousand dollar PC."
No, it can't... but you are right that there are potential drawbacks to iterative consoles. Things are seldom, if ever, perfect. IMO, it was not a fair assessment for Mania to say that there aren't any benefits which is why I posted some.
Why is an iterative console so hard to understand? The PC has been iterative forever if you want to see how the model works, which it does:
- There's eventually going to be a minimum spec like on PC (people understand that just fine). To use your model; Eventually "console 1 will be obsolete and "console 2" will run "console 3" games with reduced fidelity.
- BC won't have to be a feature that is considered going forwards, because i...
MS doesn't have traditional console generations anymore so there will never be a full reset, so when the "2X" comes out, MS will still have the 1X (at a minimum) run the 2X games with lower settings. All BC, as well as all XB1/1X compatible titles will just shift when you do. Therefore, it doesn't really matter when the "Generation" ends because the "2X" will be FC with all of today's software by design.
As far as BC (Xbox/360) go...
@Off Road King
I said credit for their recent character, not for releasing the console. Their character was then related to their recent comments about the direction their games production is heading (See: Building Credibility). I also already agreed with Hardiman, who said that all they should release new games consistently, keep multiplayer strong, and change their stance on single player games.
So what is your comment even intended to do? It's ...
It would be cool if the Avatars had more in-game uses. I also miss the way they used to show up on the 360 so you could see who was online.
MS is shut up about it. This article is about a leak; AKA a rumor.
How about you just shut up about it until they release it if you're not even going to pay attention enough to the title that your comment makes sense? Speaking of sense, look at how many agrees you have because other people who troll here can't read either!
I absolutely agree. Right now MS is successful but not competitive.
To at least give them credit for their more recent character, MS delivered on everything they said they would with regards to the 1X HW. To me, they deserve at least a small measure of trust at this point because you can't turn a company around if you don't try to fix it, and being more honest about the 1X is at least start to fixing their image. Back to the topic of games though...
More ways to sell? Sure, but not with Play Anywhere unless MS and Steam have arranged some kind of deal. Interesting though, that there were rumors about MS buying Steam and now rumors of SoD2 being sold there.
I don't ever see the sale of Steam to MS, but perhaps a deal of some type was struck to allow Steam games to be Play Anywhere compatible. For now, they're both rumors.
PS: I like MS more than most around here, but poking at the hornets...
Konami has been making people gamble enough already with their pachinko machines.
I'm just pointing out the duality in your post, but either way it was an unnecessary comment.
Serious Xbox fan or trolling PS fan? You decide!
I think that's dependent upon what the new content will add. The game still has potential it hasn't lived up to yet, although it is much better than when it released.
The AI would have to be advanced enough to render speech synthesis so that voice acting would become less necessary. I imagine there will be a time when an actor's voice can be digitally rendered, and only important dialog would need to be recorded in order to capture the emotion a that a voice emulator would not likely be very convincing with.
I'm glad you mentioned physics. I think that's where the most benefit is right now. We were able to do games like Half Life 2 almost 20 years ago, and I seldom see a game today which takes physics to that level. It's kind of odd when you think about it, really. Other games tried to push physics like Red Faction 1 with Geo-Mod yet physics eventually faded away in favor of a few extra blades of grass or a few more pixels.
I've always been a proponent of Si...
You've already told me enough; language is not your strong suit. Solid core mechanics are fundamental. Having "enough" content is ancillary (and subjective at best). Yet once again you choose to lump them both together under the umbrella of fundamental because you choose to ignore the definitions of the words.
There are plenty of people on SoT still enjoying the fundamentals of the game, and this is after the lengthy Beta which was also successful because it...
This topic is really getting old.
