It's not that I love MS... It's that I like Sony less.

If they don't overdo it, they could stay wihin a budget SEGA could afford. I'd like to see a sequel.

There were a few really interesting links in that interview. Did you know the Xbox One has the only commercially available dual lane gpu in the world? It will only become useful when full dx12 rolls out, but from what I understand it allows full bandwidth communication in both directions at the same time: Meaning a theoretical bandwidth limit of around 2.6tb for the gpu(their words, not mine).

Math: 2.6tb > 1.8tb

Now this could get interesting...

Yeah, if a game is on PC and consoles I would think it would automatically take advantage of full DX12 on Xbox One. Ultimately, almost every title will use it to port their code over effectively because it will save them time and money.

GameNameFame trashed me like this in a thread just the other day. I tried to be a gentleman by PMing him instead of humiliating him in public and he just flamed me in response and blocked me afterwards. I just want everyone to know how he seems to post just to piss everyone off by making fanboy statements and cannot be reasoned with.

Edit: I gave him specific sites to go to that were full of technical data explaining why Xbox One was not realizing its full potential. He i...

The algorhytm only takes a fraction of a millisecond to run a pass in full frame HD. It sounds like it runs virtually for free so the implications are huge.

I'm surprised with the efficiency of the coding for the given effect. That it fits on a business card? Mind. Blown.

I can't wait until the bombs finally drop regarding the true gains we'll see from full dx12, true multicore processing and dual lane gpu implementation. Bet it will be more than 30%.

When it happens I hope that some of you are able to reflect back to this thread and realize you should have researched what I talked about instead of assuming i would make this all up. None of your comments tell me why these sources are wrong and are just sheepish personal attacks.

ThanatosDMC: Thank you for being civilized, but MS has been refering to the recent dx12 update which is not full dx12. Win10/full dx12 will be epic change when devs get it this fall because it wi...

Those points listed above are all facts(not speulation) that can be found in the Wardell dx12 interview from two days ago, directly or linked to the article itself. Anandtech already benchmarked performance gains of 500% on many of amds' cards as well.

I know it's way easier to make fun of what you don't understand than it is to educate yourselves though, which is why I anticipated your statements in my original post.

Prove me wrong by showing me...

Xbox One can run native 4k, and I'll tell you why I think it will(I can already feel the flames-a-burnin').

win10/dx12 - Xbox One is the fully compliant with the new api, which may offer as high as a 500-600% performance gain once in place.

dual lane gpu - Xbox One has the only commercially available dual lane gpu anywhere on the market, which pushes the theoretical limit of its gpu to 2.6tb(until dx12, it only utilizes 1 lane).

Data ...

You need to better define what you mean when you say larger. What you mean is there's more to do, which I agree with. I'm not trying to pick on you here, please don't misunderstand, but it helps people understand you better when you articulate more.

Right now dx12 games in development will only see about a 30% increase over today's titles. Until developers get full dx12 compatible kits this fall they can't unlock the true power of Xbox One, so the first full dx12 game will not likey be published until holiday 2016.

Just Cause is 400 square miles according to Wiki, and it fit onto one DVD. I'm pretty sure GTA V is not that big, as I have played both, but I couldn't find any info to confirm this 100%.

Also, I fail to see the facts in your post.

Couldn't they just update the system to warn the user of the potential risk overclocking presents so that joe average won't "turn it up to 11"? At least then we'd still have the choice.

Unlike PS4, Xbox Ones' HW was designed to use the cloud. Their tech works on today's 2-5mb connections. Physics, tiling, global ai and lighting are a few examples of how cloud processing can work on today's bandwidth. There's an interview with brad wardell on n4g from yesterday about dx12 which contains links to articles about cloud computing.

But this guy made it sound like we'd never seen it before and it was all his idea. MS specifically built HW and infrastructure that is already available, optomized for 2-5mb internet with 60-100ms ping. You'll see it when Crackdown is shown.
