Agreed. They've hammered home some really great improvements to the system, OS, and services. They've ditched generations in favor of FC and respecting the customers' investments in gaming. They've also had two successful launches with SoT and SoD2, defying the metacritic reviews (and "popular opinions" of some people around here). Finally, they've made commitments to expanding games production now that their foundation for success elsewhere has been establis...
I really think that Japan would be a great place for the series. Awesome car culture, beautiful scenery and architecture, plus it's already an island which makes it perfect for an open world game!
@1nsomniac
"Unfortunately I didn't care enough about all this nonsense anyway so I’ve wasted too much time on it already."
But you're in here posting anyways. When I don't care about something I just don't read about it or make comments.
"Oh how the irony is lost in tiny minds."
Couldn't have said it better myself!
The reason we 've seen so many positive HW/OS changes is because MS has had this service in place for several years already, but I do like the update to how the service functions.
When the Idea Drive Campaign was first mentioned I thought it was going to be something that appeared on the XBL dashboard that encouraged the entire Xbox community to participate in the third phase. That would make the most sense as the voting process would cover the entire target audience instead of just a sample.
Too bad. I thought Sony was, "For the Players", but I guess that's only if the players don't like playing with other console gamers or playing their own library of games on the latest HW. Hell, they're not even for the UHD players even though it's their own format.
I thought exclusive 1st party was what sold consoles, not Sony controlling who you can play with.
Edit: JackBNimble, ZaWarudo said CONSOLE CROSSPLAY. Read much?
Those quotes suggest that the developer may not have supported enhancements for either the Pro or the 1X, and that the Pro is possibly running in boost mode.
Yeah, it seems like they need to patch it in.
@ wonderful
Yeah, and there are many who think that about Xbox too.
I thought Nintendo was done for too when I first saw the Switch. The success of the system has taken me by surprise, to be honest, but I can admit that they are doing really well and don't continue believe in fallacies.
Damn, I guess I didn't see you coming!!!
I loved my job as an SM for a long time too. My DM was cool too and resisted for as long as he could, but eventually the RD started getting $#!+ for my DM's poor performance metrics and it all rolled downhill. I eventually left Gamestop a few years ago because I couldn't abide by the new rules (without feeling horrible about how the customers reacted) and it was only a matter of time before enforcement would have cost me my job. The store you shop at has unfortunately become the ex...
MP-only games and GaaS are okay for you now? When did this happen?
Or CoD2, since it was only a campaign.
Yeah, I know Sam is a sneaky guy but this time everyone sees him coming!
Gamestop deserves it. You can tell every time you walk into a Gamestop that has their employees following the rules because everybody feels uncomfortable with the interactions to "welcome" you to Gamestop, including you.
Ironically, it's a store full of embarrassed robots that make the customers feel like they're just another person/payday and that's not what Gamestop used to be like. They're pushing gamers to hate going to their store in the fir...
Nintendo is on their way out? I thought they were on pace to catch up to Xbox One sales by the end of this year.
I'm genuinely confused by how people measure success around here...
I'm glad to see that people wanted to return to the topic RpgSama brought up, which was putting a campaign in S&B, instead of dwelling on the off topic SoT remarks we both made.
Also, thanks for having such an engaging conversation with me RpgSama. Since your only reply to me was to continue to talk about SoT, at least we all know why you put it in the conversation in the first place. I'd have preferred to talk with you about S&B instead. Oh well, don...
Microsoft at the arcade? This was really unexpected but it does look pretty cool!
@ RpgSama
What were you thinking about when you mentioned a single player story?
@ IamTylerDurden
Units sold and players playing are not congruent when Game Pass allows people to play without a purchase. Obviously engagement is important now. Players playing equates to popularity and is a valid metric (not the only one that's important though).
Only the ignorant are "being misled", lol. It's obvious that SoT and SoD2 are successful in spite of people like you and the metacritic scores. Thankfully, I don't pla...
