How far away (or are we already there) are we from Madden having to be a $39.99 a year title or, people just stop buying it and rent it and dump the online all together.
Madden is at the point where football is football and there isn't anything compelling left to warrant forking out 60 bucks again just for some minor tweaks.

Totally with WarPony here - it really is getting out of control.
My gaming has almost come to a screeching halt now - would rather hang with the neighbors and do other stuff than keep stuffing 1200 point here to Activision and 1200 there to EA and another 3200 to MS/Epic.
One huge problem here is most of the content right from the get go should have been included for most games.

I'm confused by this heading. you ALWAYS had to pay for netflix one way or another and it was always free to stream to your ps3 or if you had xbox live or a wii - they are not charging you for having any of those and can still stream - you have always had to have a netflix account of some sort.
I've been a member for months and months and have gotten free points from them.
They never said you could play the game hands free - they only showed the ability to do the cool customization of gunsmith and testing it on a firing range.
I really want to like this game - I have played all of them and love the Dirt Series by my lord, not being able to cut some of the cut-scenes is really grinding on me.
It gets so annoying having to wait for the guy or girl to stop talking, it's literally about as much fun as watching paint dry - a shame because the game itself is excellent but you spend too much time just trying to get into a race for my liking.

What is so amazing about him?? You make it sound like he ad-libs all of this stuff. It's all written for him, he just mouths it.
I admit, some of the commercials are mildly funny but to make it sound like he is an every day comic that comes up with this stuff off the cuff is a little much.

#Thoreau exactly so you agree with me! If you go to a nice place to eat etc. your paying for a service so rightly so, if it is not up to par you should get compensated - which is exactly what i said mate about the PSN+ service, you should get the month added to the backend of your subscription.
PSN is free though so I don't think anything should be compensated.

why should they? if your a free user using a free service they don't owe you squat. It's even written somewhere in the t.o.c regarding downtime etc.
If your a psn+ user, sure the amount of time that the service is down should be tacked onto the end of your psn+ subscription.
That's it - nothing more.
When the ps2 was out should they have given you stuff purely for not having a decent online setup that was worth writing home about?...
