Urm then you don't download and use the app??!!! That's just like saying 'cool apple just came out with this app to do this but I don't have an iphone - that sucks'
It allows you to use your xbox as a cable box instead of paying another monthly fee for a box in another room. At least that's what I believe it will do.
Strummer, was your post meant to be informative in a positive way or informative in a negative way (I mean that sincerely, I couldn't tell and i always ponder major facts by editorial people from such places as eurogamer etc when most of the people are just that, editorial )
Very interesting read though for sure.
yeah i think if they removed DRM which automatically means not having to connect once a day, that would pretty much instally level out that see-saw a lot more.
It doesn't have to act like a traditional cloud such as companies that host CRM apps and things like that.
I couuld easily see a huge online world where things in the cloud are being generated before you even get to them to add to an existing games thats currently running on an xbox one, its not about always running somthing directly from the cloud opposed to running a game that's interacting with additional content / features etc
People are forgetti...
current gen its fine, next gen xbox one not so much unless it works for movies also
urm, no headset??!!!
Look what happened once Naughty Dog got a hold of the hardware - how did the games look then??!!! <and I am an xbox fan but the truth is the truth>
The problem with the statement is the fact that the 360 won't be supported for too long so then what??!! Stick with a console that has no new games??!!!
Yeah well now we have a story that states no online passes for 1st / 3rd party games but, then you have Jack stating the potential for the opposite.

Sony is hurting - they have been for a long time - their electronics division has fallen on hard times.
They have even started selling off some of their real estate to recoup money which has actually helped them a little lately.
They do not have the money that Microsoft has, not by a long long long shot.
Publishers LOSE money on used games because they don't see a dime of it.
The Xbox Oneforces people to buy the full game which makes the publishers more money.
Sony on the other hand by doing the right thing doesn't make the publisher any more money once that game is sold / traded in.
You will be surprised how much money will be made on the Xbox One - you just cannot see it because of tunnel vision.
Yeah considering they said it was supposed to be designed that way and it only looks somewhat similar but is very distinctive as a 360.
When when people go to the store to buy one they say 'I would like an Xbox 360 please' or they look for the box that says 'Xbox 360' on it opposed to saying 'I would like one of those black ones please' I don't think anyone will have a problem picking up the right machine.
So yeah, you are trying t...
I love the xbox but I doubt project spark works as quick and well as they just showed.
You obviously did not listen or understand the human A.I side of it because spinning out like that was exactly how it was supposed to be.
It was showing how the system was racing like the human player it was representing because it had learnt from it.
That demo was demonstrating how a person can be at work but their A.I counter-part is racing for them based on how they race so if a bonehead driver makes a bone head move and spins out time and time again, the ...
Exactly - everyone thinks that Sony is going to release the PS4 dirt cheap and blow the Microsoft pricing structure away - I doubt it.
Sony up until recently when they started offloading real estate to make money back were in pretty big financial trouble - t.v division wasn't going well, taking losses here there and everywhere - they cannot afford to build this thing and take 100's of dollars in losses just to beat Microsofts price point.
Components, ...
The fact that they have all but confirmed that gamefly will no longer work with the next xbox I wont be switching this year - I dont mind paying gamefly, they have been great especially when buying games from them.
I will probably end up staying with my 360 for now and then move over to sony in the future if they don't screw it up and come out with some form of drm also
omg now people are complaining about who is doing the voice acting in a game - unreal.
sun is shining outside, go see.
@VaporCell yeah I know, but as they said, that's just temporary and the Xbox one will catch up because they are very good in that area.
The dev kits they had for the 360 were raved about also, the software tools etc.
Definitely going to be a back and fourth thing throughout this generations life span.
The fact you have to have a main box is nothing. The fact that you can stop paying for additional setup boxes each month and have that covered under your gold plan is decent. Now if you have a 360 you can drop the cable box in your bedroom and use the 360 instead.
