But you won't have God of War or Gran Turismo. HA!
Agreed. I just can't seem to shake this belief that nintendo (as a brand) represents the cheap/inferior brand. Nintendo's real battle is a a battle of perception, not specs.
It all started to turn around when video game development started to mimic the development methodologies of other industries. They are just not compatible and suits have a hard time understanding that.
Crazy Ken promised a whole bunch of stuff with the ps3 (6 usb ports, etc) and Jack Tretton straight out lied about the Motorstorm and Killzone footage we saw before the PS3 released.
I think some PS3 owners must have selective memories or something. All I know is that I have learned to take a "lets wait and see" approach when it comes to rumors and anouncements from Sony and other tech companies. I expect great quality products from Sony, but It's just safer to...
I can't understand how some people say that a touchscreen control interface can provide an excellent gaming expierience. I own an apple TV and the only reason I use the Airplay feature is to watch funny youtube videos with the family. I tried gaming on it, but it was just horrible.
"Why is that so difficult for some developers/publishers to understand!?"
Because you and I are already "hooked" and its people like my step-father (almost 50 y/o) that they want to start selling games to. I have to say that I agree with Jade on this one. My step father loves to watch me play Call of Duty, RE 5 and RDR. He even suggests things to do to beat certain levels and bosses. But I think he feels overwhelmed when it comes to picking up the gamepad ...
You have missed Sooooo MUCH my friend. At least there are some good AC wiki sites to help you catch up with the story line.
I will buy AC3 on day 1. But if Ubisoft doesn't show me more Adam and Eve stuff this time I will be REALLY pissed. When It comes to the "People who came before", every new AC game is starting to feel like a small part of those glyphs puzzels.
I expect Next Gen to be a DVD to Blu-Ray kind of leap not a VHS to DVD leap.
IMO Sony and Microsoft may come with much more powerful machines than the wiiU NextGen, but the difference (at least for a while) may not be as noticeable in terms of graphics. Here's why:
1) By the time Sony and Microsoft launch their new consoles the wiiU will be (speculating here) almost 2 years old. Enough time to build a respectable install base.
2) Third Party Developers today (for reasonable economic reasons) abide to a "code once deploy ever...
I feel the same way about Mass Effect. Can't play the game for more than 15 minutes and yet something makes me feel like I'm missing out.
Make the controller smaller.
That glymps video from AC 2 really caught me off guard. Had the chills for days, but I can understand how the AC series may not be for everyone.
I expect the usual popups (there is just so much current gen hardware can do), yet, at the same time I am pretty sure the story and scale will be absolutely amaizing!!! Day 1 purchase for me.
The Bonus stages of Sonic the hedgehog 1. nuff said.
This is my BONG. There are many like it, but this one is mine. My BONG is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I master my life. My BONG, without me, is useless. Without my BONG, I am useless. I must SMOKE OUT OF my BONG true....
I never thought that shifting a single bit of data (0 -> 1) would get to cost this much. Capcom, YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG!
I don't think people are "passing on this", some (like myself) are just waiting a week or two to get it for $39.99.
Shinobi for Sega Master System. Worst ending ever!!
I believe Wall Street and the US mortgage crisis is to blame for the lack of gameplay innovation in games this gen. Perhaps developers were afraid to take risks in times of global economic uncertainty. Lets just hope we have a better economic environment next Gen.
