"And if you're into WRPGs, you should stick to PC."

Interesting that you would say that. I was a hardcore PC gamer until all the good single-player Western RPG left PC. So I was forced to switch over to Xbox, because that's where all the Western RPG makers have migrated.

PC still has RPGs -- but they are mostly MMO-rpg like World of Warcraft and the Lord of the Rings Online. And I hate those MMO craps with no story.

I know of ONE genre that PS3 severely lacks: Western RPGs, of which I am a big fan.

Xbox 360 has some very exclusive high-profile Western RPGs that I simply have to have: Mass Effect and Too Human. In addition, I can look forward to Jade Empire 2 and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 3, which (more likely than not) will be Xbox 360 exclusives.

Currently, PS3 has no high-profile Western RPG exclusive.

The Western RPGs that are on PS3 (e.g., Ob...

considering Halo 3, Bioshock, Mass Effect, Ace Combat 6, Too Human and more will all be coming out for Xbox 360 as exclusives during the same time period.

The console war will be intense, that's for sure.

Except when you watch a news, you do not ACTIVELY control the action of "a man shot to death".

Look, violent video games are fine... but when video games start le...

"Manhunt 2" belongs in the same category as snuff films. Even the liberal Europeans (who usually tolerate everything) ban it.

Of course, most gamers would still mindlessly defend Manhunt 2. Heck, they would defend any video game, even if the game lets gamer role-play as a serial rapist going around kidnapping and raping little girls. Gamers would still defend that game like cultists. They'd just say: "What's wrong with raping little girls? It's just a game.&q...

Their data are really close most of the time.

Maybe NPD is just upset because their data are simply too close too often. If people can get sales data from VGChartz for free, why would anyone want to pay to get similar data from NPD??

Just to show you all how serious Apple is taking gaming... Apple will not be at E3 this year.

As the matter of fact, Apple will continue to be a no-show for all major game expos and gaming industry events: E3, GDC, Tokyo Game Show, and GC.

Sony is already losing too much money on every PS3 unit, its financial statement is not looking so good, its credit rating has just been downgraded, and it has way too much short-term debts that need to be serviced every cycle.

Most of you are not even in Japan. You are in North America or some Western country. I don't know about you, but I don't even like Japanese games in general, and I prefer Western games that are designed to cater to Western taste. And I know most Western audience do not even like Japanese games -- Western audience prefer Western games, just like Japanese audience prefer Japanese games. You guys should be more concerned with the North American and European markets. And it's not like Xbox w...

Sony is not in the position to cut prices. It is already losing money on every PS3 unit, and Sony has a lot of short-term debts that it will need to either pay off or refinance every cycle. Sony has been refinancing its short-term debts at higher and higher interest rates every cycle for the past few years.

On the other hand, Microsoft is practically swimming in cash: Xbox 360 is just a side project, a "plaything" for Microsoft. Sony's future depends on the succes...

In North America, Wii is already in the second place and is likely to surpass Xbox 360 in the first place. If Microsoft does not cut the price of its core 360 model to below $250, then it will lose the first spot to Nintendo's Wii.

In that case, Microsoft and Sony will end up fighting for the second spot, (which is kinda funny if you think about it.) Sony is likely to end up in the third place in North America.

Sony Protection Group first claims: "Of all current consoles the PS3 has the HIGHEST percentage of games rated over 80%."

Next, they claim: "Of all current consoles the X360 has the LOWEST percentage of games rated under 50%."

Huh? What? Isn't having the LOWEST percentage of games rated under 50% supposed to be a good thing?

I assume the word "LOWEST" is a typo, and what the Sony Protection Group really meant to say i...
