I'll buy the CHEAPER version.
"Am i the only person who isnt that impressed witHeavenly Sword?"
No, you're not the only one. I think the gameplay and action of Heavenly Sword are way too similar to God of War. It's God of War in HD.
Personally, I'm more impressed by Lair and LittleBigPlanet, (i.e., on PS3,) which are something we haven't seen before.
"EA use there own servers on the 360 and final fantasy 11 used it's own servers too to have a persistent online world you have to use your own servers anyway"
Oh ya, I missed that.
Well, I don't really like EA so I rarely play their games.
And I'm not a big fan of Final Fantasy either. I tried playing FF7 but it failed to hold my attention.
Bioware will show off Dragon Age at E3. This will be the first time we get a look at Dragon Age. We haven't seen anything at all from that game, and the official forum has just gone online just a few months ago with new pictures coming out once in a while.
Other than that, we'll see a few more gameplay demos for Mass Effect.
The Austin studio is so new that I doubt they'll turn out anything this year, and the only thing that'll come out of the Austin studio wil...
considering how all online services have to go through Microsoft's Xbox Live on 360, while developers host their own online servers on PS3.
However, as I've said, this one will definitely be a MMO if you look at Richard Vogel's resume and past history. (See my previous post.)
FACTS:
1. Richard Vogel works at the new Austin studio - NOT the famous Bioware studio in Edmonton.
2. Richard Vogel is an MMO guy - he has NO experience in mak...
and has reaffirmed it more than once (when people repeated ask Bioware about the rumor of Dragon Age coming to PS3 at Bioware forums -- Bioware has repeatedly denied it.)
A lot of PC gamers are going to be very pissed if Dragon Age also shows up on PS3 (or 360.)
the new studio that's working on MMO.
In fact, Vogel's entire resume consists of *only* MMOs like Ultima Online (post-Richard Garriott era) and Star Wars: Galaxy. He has absolutely NO experience in making single-player games. (His resume is available at MobyGames and few other websites.)
He does NOT work at the main Bioware studio in Edmonton. He has NEVER worked at the main Bioware studio. He has NEVER worked on any past Bioware game.
Vogel, al...
Maybe PS3 will ultimately get Ace Combat 6, but it won't be anytime soon.
Ace Combat 6, Alan Wake, Bioshock, Mass Effect (confirmed to be a trilogy,) and Too Human (another confirmed trilogy.) These are really the big 360 titles that get me excited the most.
I'm not particularly excited about Halo 3 and Gears of War 2, but I suppose there are a lot of other people who are really looking forward to those two games.
Then there are some other people ...
Ergh.
and then iPhone came out, which makes PS3 look like a bargain.
Another way of saying "probably not" = "probably yes".
The keyword here is PROBABLY.
This is like saying "the glass is half-empty/half-full".
so far all we've seen is a pre-rendered cinematic trailer. just because it's "Halo" doesn't mean it's gonna be good. e.g., Halo and Halo 2 on PC suck. Microsoft/Bungie need to put more effort into porting Halo over to PC... but I don't they really care.
Of course, I'm sure Sony fanboys are going to deny that Gears of War is next-gen.
Those Ninja guys need to stop remaking a game over and over again unless it's 10 year old... this is like, what, the third time they remade this game in just two or three years?? It's ridiculous to remake the same game so many times in such a short period of time.
Give people new games! Make something new!
If people have just played the same game on Xbox just last year, they're not going to buy and play the same game all over again. It's basically the same gam...
Bungie thinks their Halo is untouchable. They are not even trying to make Halo 3 a better game than Halo 2.
The graphic of Halo 3 beta is such a huge letdown compared to other games on the market right now. The graphic looks so... LAST GEN. WTF has Bungie been doing during the past 3 years?? Even the gameplay is not so hot. Bungie's response to the criticism is: "well, we're not trying to compete with them. We're competing with ourselves." (!?!?) That's just p...
Here are some MS innovations off the top of my head (some big, some small, some built on top of previous work, but lots of “innovations” in tech build on previous work):
* AJAX
* Web browser component usable by any app
* OLE
* Spreadsheet Pivot Tables
* Tabbed spreadheets (yes, Microsoft was the first one to come out with tabs; since then, copied by other apps such as browsers)
* On-the-fly spell check i...
Nothing new there.
"PS3 owners do not NEED to buy movies, but they can."
But they still pay extra for the Blu-ray features. Like, $200+ extra.
That Blu-ray drive doesn't come free-of-charge on PS3, you know?
Less than 5-percent of the DVD market has adopted or converted to Blu-ray or HD-DVD. There's still a whole lot of market out there to cover.
So, how can anyone say Blu-ray has won?
Eck!
