"At first blush, we're looking at a very similar release to the Xbox One version - with only one really noticeable difference, the implementation of a lens flare effect that appears either absent or dialled back on Xbox One. Frame-rate is confirmed at 30fps, though the rare dropped frames seen on Xbox One are even less of an issue here."
They are still investigating the foliage in both versions.

It was 13.5mil shipped at the end of September (sony's financial report) that's before retailers began ordering stock for the holiday season. The numbers for the shipped PS4 should be a lot higher but you'll need to wait for Sony's next financial report. For the XB1, 10million is soon to be shipped indicating it has NOT shipped 10million.

Actually the PS4 is leading by about 1mil in NA
Microsoft loves to release all their big titles in the early to mid stages of the console generation. Then they'll probably ditch it midway in order to prepare for the new consoles just like they did it with the XB360. Sony on the other hand kept pumping out new PS3 exclusives even on its last year.
Nah, I gonna go play some multiplayer on halo:mcc... oh wait dammit
XB1 hasn't shipped 10million yet, they said 'soon' which could imply weeks from now. Sonys 13.5mil numbers were from the end of septembers financial report. Obviously the numbers should be a lot higher considering retailers ordering stock for the holiday season.
"According to Layden, the PS4 is dominating the Xbox One in terms of units sold-through to consumers. Asked if it would be accurate to say Sony has a 2:1 advantage over Xbox One in terms of units sol...

So far frame rate is better on the PS4. It also seems in a screenshot provided by Digital Foundry the XB1 has a massive downgrade in grassy l...
They are working on a PS4 game, it's rumored to be an open world horror
I didn't have high expectations for the PS4s first year considering some of Sony's first party studios were still releasing AAA titles on the PS3 even though it was nearing the end of the last gen consoles. Truthfully I thought Microsoft's 2014 lineup was going to outshine the PS4s 2014 lineup by miles considering Microsoft ditched the XBox 360 at the last 2 years of the last gen.
Hopefully we'll be able to see what Sony's been planning for 2015 at playst...
13.5million shipped was end of september, numbers are probably higher considering that was before retailers began ordering stock for the holiday season. The XB1 has yet to ship 10million but I think it'll reach it once the holiday season is over.
@gangsta_red
The latest multiplats have been looking/performing better on the PS4 and now since ONE game performs better on the XB1 even though it has been stated to be an unfinished product, then the rest of multiplats will be the same? I mean dragon age was released just today and is 1080p on the PS4 and 900p on the XB1.
For the latest games Digital Foundry recommends:
The evil within: PS4
COD: AW Multiplayer: PS4 COD: AW Singleplayer: Apple...
Another win? Literally 95% of games on the XB1 and PS4 Digital Foundry recommends the PS4 version.
Cod:AW does not run 1080p in multiplayer at all, NBA2K, Fifa, NHL lol really? FC4 has not been confirmed on the XB1 yet although Ubisoft stated they were aiming for it. GTA/Halo MCC remastered games mmm.
13.5mil shipped is end of september I think since they released their reports that had those numbers, so numbers should be a lot higher considering retailers preordering stock for holiday shopping
2015 looks bleak for Sony??? Xbox has halo 5 and quantum break confirmed for 2015 with rise of the tomb raider being a timed exclusive. The PS4s lineup is Persona 5, bloodborne, the order 1886, no man;s sky, the tomorrow children, planetside 2 and UC4? Plus with playstation experience just 3 weeks away who knows what else Sony is unveiling.
Guerrilla games - open world rpg (Horizon?)
SCE Bend - open world horror
Quantic dream - ???
Naughty dogs - UC4 /...
@SuperLupe u make it sound like UC4 is the only thing good coming to ps4 next year. Bloodborne, the order 1886, persona 5, no man's sky, planetside 2 and a whole lot of other stuff is coming too... Sony has been keeping quiet the past few weeks in order to announce everything at playstation experience, and a lot of Sony's first party studios (SCE Bend, Guerrilla games, guerilla cambridge, media molecule, quantic dream etc) have yet to announce their new games.
Yes COD:AW SP does have a higher FPS on average than the PS4 but the majority of the time it doesn't render at 1920x1080 whereas the PS4 is renders at a full 1920x1080.
And why are you using AC:Unity as an example.. Obviously ubisoft DID NOT utilise the XB1s, PS4s or the PCs hardware to the fullest. XB1 was the leading platform thanks to the advertising rights for Microsoft, they could of just rushed the XB1 and ported over to PS4 without using either ones hardware.
Just curious how is Cod:AW better on XB1? From Digital Foundry's point of view SP is better on XB1 and MP is better on PS4.
"For Xbox One's multiplayer, the scenario is different. The 1360x1080 resolution is a stuck fixture in this mode, with the 1920x1080 pixel boost simply never kicking in as it does in campaign - even playing on small maps. Having tested all 13 available stages, the result is always the same"
"The story is differen...
@Ginesis
The XB1 is actually pretty far behind considering they're losing their main market (North America) by quite a bit. The PS4 is also dominating every other region, especially in Europe where the PS4 has sold over about 5mil whereas the XB1 manages to get less than 2mil.
Its not like the XB1 will magically catch up to the PS4, if Microsoft wants to catch up they'll need to do something huge but I don't see that happening.
