Look at the forums/articles when the Nov NPD data was released. Pretty much everyone was saying it was game over for the PS4 and the XB1 was making a comeback. And to be honest it kind of does matter who sells more, because smaller studios usually focus on one console at a time due to cost/resources (such as ninja theory) and developing on the PS4 guarantees a much larger potential for more revenue.

Yes, it does have the best lineup THIS year. But I think you're forgetting the fact that some people can't afford to buy both consoles so they're looking for the best long term console. If you saw last gen, Microsoft pretty much dropped the Xbox 360 in its last 2 years to prepare for the Xbox one. Sony on the other hand kept supporting the PS3 by releasing exclusives after exclusives.

All we've gotten is a few cgi trailers and a bit of gameplay, you can expect a full reveal at a major gaming conference (E3/Gamescom). A lot of Sony's games have not announced specific dates to when they'll be released. They've only said the set date is 2015.
