It would give hardcore TR fans a reason to buy an Xbox one over the PS4? I just said it in my previous comment.. And no, they don't have to play their cards, but announcing TR as an Xbox exclusive will clearly benefit them in terms of sales.
If it wasn't coming to the PS4, wouldn't Microsoft already said something the lines of "it is only going to be on the Xbox console ever". Wouldn't Microsoft have an advantage in doing that? There is no point being ambiguous for what console it will be on.. If it is only ever going to be on the Xbox, it will give people an incentive to buy the Xbox One over the PS4.
I don't think investors want to see Microsoft spending more money on the Xbox one division when there's other divisions that can yield more return.

No, time of day does not make a game look better. You also have to take into consideration that his wet and the moonlight reflects off of his skin. His also bruised around his cheeks and his probably got sand on his face. The PSX Drake is clean, dry and isn't full of bruises.
Don't see it taking U.S or U.K anytime soon. The XB1 will return to its original price (doubt that), early 2015 is obviously in the bag for Sony thanks to their AAA exclusives. Sony have yet to touch their price, we may see a price drop in 2015 but who knows?
"Maybe the rest of the world will follow the US and UK trends in the months to come." Based on what? The fact is right now, PS4 is dominating on a global scale. Some people are forgetting that fact that the XB1 sold better because of its amazing deals + Halo MCC.
Once the year is over the price of the XB1 will go back to its original (I doubt they will though). And Sony has quite a few AAA exclusives planned for early 2015.
How come? The gaming division is one of Sony's most profitable divisions. They've already begun to reduce funds for the mobile/tv division and started injecting it into the PS4.
Well to be fair, they're trolls/fanboys on both sides.
He never claimed that it's the "holy grail of gaming", he doesn't need to say anything. It is his game, he can do whatever he wants.
NPD is released in about 11 hours so we'll see.
First impressions were negative and now that people got a hold of the 30 minute demo and saying positive things about it. That is overhyping?
You really hate Sony don't you?
You do realise porting releasing games on other platforms also cost time and money right? No, they did not cut their profits but they did cut their revenue. It is clear that SF5 will sell a lot more on the PS4 just because of the install base alone.
TR is big in Europe, the install base is on the PS4 between NA and Europe is the same. Don't you think Square Enix will gain much more revenue/profit if they actually develop for the PS4 as well?
They have at least 8 first party studios developing games for the PS4. Some of them have already been in development for 2-3 years, so lets hope they get an E3 reveal.
@DeadManMMX
The puzzles were horrible compared to their older games, nowhere as near challenging at all. And don't you think Tomb raider copied Uncharted too? Isn't it obvious?
The way they are wording it doesn't 100% clarify whether or not it will be on the PS4. Yes, they're deals are similar to the recent deals with DR3 but it is not the same hence the word 'similar'. One thing is clear though, and that is they're not saying it is only going to be on the Xbox console ONLY. There is no advantage for being ambiguous on what consoles tomb raider will be available on in the future. If it is only on the Xbox they should have announced it ages ago, i...
I'm just curious, what major franchises has Microsoft built compared to Sony? Indie studios are the ones creating innovative gameplay and do you know where they are heading? To the PS4, because of Microsoft's stupid policy on indie games.
Indie games is where all the innovative gameplay is at. Sadly, most Xbox players do not consider those games as 'real' games.
What do you expect? Microsoft have been pretty quiet lately and Sony just celebrated their 20th anniversary with PSX, announcing a lot of new games.
Microsoft has already said the price drop is temporary and will return back to $399 in January.. The PS4 outsold the Xbox one every month when the prices matched, so how is it any different once the prices are back to $399 in 2015? Sony's early lineup already helps too..
