Sony leaned from mistakes with the early years of PS3, hopefully MS learns from the mistakes it's making right now and improves soon. This is exactly why we need competition, without it companies do whatever they want with no consequence.

Maybe because it wasn't a very good game? Making it more pretty with mods doesn't change the fact the game was still bad. Also why would console players be still playing an old game when MANY new and better console 1st and 3rd party games have come out?
I know I knock the Xbone, by even calling it that, but MS really screwed themselves with all the restrictions they imposed. The truth is if it wasn't for the restrictions in place the Xbox One would actually be an appealing device. At E3 they brought some good games and announcement for future games. But until MS repeals all restrictions on Xbone they will lose customers.
There was also a rumor that MS was behind in production of the Xbone. Since every other Xbone rumor proved to be true so might that one.
I don't hate the console but I gotta be real. I was talking with a coworker yesterday and he's a semi casual gamer. He thought the Wiiu was just a touchscreen addon to the Wii, I couldn't believe it and just started laughing. Nintendo still has done nothing to change this perception. I keep saying that if you want a Nintendo experience the 3DS is a way better alternative to the Wiiu.
Lol, eventhough this article is from the UK, here in California in my area I have 3 blockbusters within a 10 mile radius. This is why game rentals are important to me, sometimes when money is tight i'll rent games instead of buying them. Or i'll try it before I buy it.

That doesn't make sense, it's a multiplayer only title, so no matter what platform it's on players will always have to be connected. Just come out and tell the truth, "MS gave us a HUGE amount of money to not release it on PS4."
@ Dark Witness, I think you would be surprised how many gamers are saying fk MS because of restrictions and pricing, as well as the non gamer focus with the later years of the 360. And I'm talking about real world gamers I've spoken with not forum goers.

Dude needs to learn how to cut to the chase. Fact is people do care that now PS+ will be required for mp. And when people did talk shit about Live you usually heard "If MS is going to charge you the least they could do is give you some free games like PS+" So are we happy to pay for mp access? I wish there were a way to hide trophy and achievement notifications. Sometimes it just totally breaks the immersion factor. That's one thing that is bugging me about The Last of Us, I don't want to be immersed and then "ding!". I hope there's an option to turn them off in the future.

Early pre orders are never an indication of long term sales. You know many are pre ordering with the intent to resell for profit on Ebay.

Sony is also still supporting the PS3 at least through this year with amazing games to come. Not 100% focus is on PS4 yet, so with that in mind I fully understand the lack of new PS4 ips.
