Not saying he is wrong, but it is ironic this coming from the guy that said Switch wouldn't sell and Nintendo were heading for another flop. His track record hasn't been too stellar with the gaming related buisness predictions lately.
I agree, I also think the local currency crap they intergrated due to pressure from local retailers and distributors not wanting their prices slaughtered by Steam Sales is a load of ass. Games I purchased 4 years ago for $4.99 in a sale after currency conversion are now being sold on sale for $10.99 local currency years later. They have slowly over time leeched all the things that made Steam exciting, special and a boon to consumers and in doing so are slowly making it far less enticing.
I agree it would be like the PS2 all over again, companies having to downgrade their products just to get them to run decently on the system. Resident Evil 4, Killer 7, Just Cause, Tales of Symphonia, Burnout 3, Splinter Cell, Viewtiful Joe, Rayman 3, Sonic Heroes, Marvel vs Capcom 2, Soul Calibur 2 and the list could go on. No one brought the PS2 and dumped it like a hot coal when they could have the superior Gamecube or Xbox....oh wait. Yes it had the superior games library and thus the sup...
Why are people still listening to this person again? They have had more misses than hits info wise, and a great deal of the hits were things most people had made educated guesses on already at the time or were also reported by other journalists.
Still have yet to see this Beyond Good and Evil trailer that was being shown at the Switch presentation. I still don't have Mother 3 or Soul Calibur V on my Wii U. Zelda did launch on both systems in March even after she said it...
What I don't understand is the reasoning between splitting them between two collections...beyond the obvious money grabbing. I'm pretty sure current media can hold far more Atari games than what's on both the discs.
Clearly it's going to have the option to use paid/free customizable themes much like the 3DS, it's pretty obvious considering they have a whole section of the menu dedicated to "Themes" much like the PS3 did.
@naruga
Activision can't "give the IP back to Sony" when Sony never owned the IP in the first place. It was Activision's IP and game series right from the very beginning. Just like Spyro. The initial games in both series during the original PSX era were published as exclusives on the Playstation due to a deal made between Universal, now Activision and Sony.
Well people did say that they wanted Nintendo to be more like Sony. Its like the PSP and Vita but at least with the option to go generic and cheaper
It's really a damned if you do and damned if you don't situation. If they do go all in with support and the system itself just doesn't take off for whatever reason, then that's a lot of money, time and assets lost/wasted. But on the flipside if they don't go all in, and only release a smattering of unimpressive titles/ports that are cheaper to move across systems, then they aren't giving consumers, or even other developers a reason to look at the system objectively and...
The Nintendo Switch box specs will include the main console, Joy-Con (L) and Joy-Con (R) controllers, a Joy-Con grip (to which two Joy-Con are attached and used as one standard controller), a set of two Joy-Con wrist straps, a Nintendo Switch dock (which holds the main console and connects it to a TV), a HDMI cable and an AC adapter. Two versions of the console will be released: a version with a set of grey Joy-Con, and a version with one neon blue and one neon red Joy-Con.

Im looking forward to this presentation for not only the obvious reasons, but because it will possibly be the last of Ms Rogers constant stream of "insider info". Most of her previous "leaks" were vague things most people had guessed by the time of the teaser trailer anyway, so it will be interesting to see if her more detailed "leaks" on the games etc hold true during the presentation.
If PAL territories get Zelda on time, if the Switch is $25...
But..they haven't..just like all the Switch posts lately it was a rumor. Not at all true. Breath of the Wild on Wii U is still coming and is not at all cancelled.
This Laura Dale person is certainly churning out these rumors hot and fast lately, perhaps she knows her time in the sun is almost up, what with the proper official news coming up soon in the Nintendo Switch event.
Hmm..it would be nice to see the return of the series, and all the other Capcom produced Marvel games and their DLC that were removed from PSN etc due to Capcom losing the Marvel licence. But I'm taking this with a grain of salt for now.
Seriously..I realize that people have low expectations for the next Nintendo console due to the last two technically being under-powered compared to other consoles available at the time, but you would think people would be smart enough to dismiss rumors that state the NX is very under-powered compared to the PS4 when games that are still in production for PS4 have been announced officially to be arriving on NX as well. Dragon Quest XI, Project Sonic 2017, Just Dance 2017, Project Cars, Rise: ...
I was thinking more Metroid Prime when the scan popped up, even has the same orange'ish colour for the scan windows with the gathered information etc.
To assume that just because this game may not make it to NX means that it outright can't handle the game is a bit presumptuous. There's been a couple of current generation new games that have been stated as coming to NX. Recently Sonic 2017, as well as previous ones like Dragon Quest XI, as well as Rise : Race the Future. Along with Zelda : Breath of the Wild and presumably the newer PS4/Windows complete version of Dragon Quest X is being used when that arrives.

It's funny how quick people forget, either that or were too young to remember. All of Nintendo's consoles prior to the Wii were superior to what was on the market at the time of release. Cutting edge or close to it in most cases.
The NES reignited the gaming industry, the SNES was superior to the Mega Drive in many ways, the N64 besides it's lack of storage space by still using carts vs CD's was technically superior in most if not all graphical departments,...
Didn't SEGA say this back when they started releasing those Heritage Collection games in HD like NiGHTS and Jet Set Radio. That they heard the fans loud and clear and Shenmue and Skies of Arcadia were on the short list for HD remastering...how long ago was that?
Pulseman on the Mega Drive was also a pretty good Game Freak title. HarmoKnight on 3DS was another one that was quite a fun pick up and play Game Freak game.
