I'm going to disagree. If they actually explored outside the realm of the multiplatform games they would notice that a lot of the PSN games have really challengening tropies.
WipeoutHD has some of the hardest trophies to get. LBP has trophies that can only be achived via your interaction online in getting community love for the levels you create, not to mention one of them is via playing a new person's level.
This article would have a better arguement if they arg...
Read the article next time. Haze is beating COD:WaW ON PC ONLY. It's not beating COD:WaW 360 or PS3.
I'm greatly offended that people believe that taking pictures with a phone camera is acceptable as taking pictures with any other camera. This is just really douchy logic and offends me as a student of photography.
Yeah any idiot with a camera can take a picture, but it takes disipline to take a proper, decent picture.
Anyone else catch that he said in game XMB didn't exist?
Has this gentleman even turned his PS3 on since he got it back in 2006?
The producers are aware that there wasn't much of a strong story to the game correct? Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy Japanese games with their quirky stories, but I also remember that nearly every capcom videogame to movie addaption has turned out really really bad.
Who still remembers Street Figher with Van Damme?
WTF... this is EXACTLY how mirror's edge should have been in the first place more or less (if in deed it does turn out to be as open ended as the levels look).
This changes things back to me considering getting the game for the DLC (which is a little backwards imho).
Come on... how does this slip through the Nintendo family fun filters? They won't let one dude put his game on the DS, but they'll let this go?
It's going to be hilarious when the Wii turns to this darkside. Nintendo is single handidly ruining the quality of gaming. It's back to the Tiger Electronics days, but big N is spearheading it.
This is a grab at the Killzone 2 thunder. I take it they don't want to really let people know that they really don't have any FPS's coming out to fill time.
IMHO this is pointless because there's a bigger dedicated group of people who are going to go out and get Killzone 2 already. And this is a silly contest that's not going to pull as many people as they're hoping because it's the wrong catagory of people as is.
I'd like to at this time, point out any irony th...
Awesome, so everyone who is adamint about the Wii is waiting for this magical motion sensing upgrade and that everything under the sun is going to have 1:1 motion control. I believe there was an article on this about 1:1 and how it takes a) a lot of processing power b) a lot of development to make the game show all 1:1 actions and interactions. 1:1 is not something simple to work out, rather very complex to program (simply because we work in 1:1 without consideration).
Even if...
I personally think you're getting sidelined on what you're saying or trying to get across. Yes consoles have become more PC like, but how one plays each is very different.
First off, I still have a PC and PS3. I have a console and a good gaming computer because with the console, there are times when I would rather pick and go with some games, no loading, no compatabilty BS to worry about just go and game. However that's not to say that the PS3 is the end all, there are a lot of...
I like how Netbooks cost less than 1/5th the cost of a MacBook Air and have similar if not superior features. MBA FTL.
Product it's clearly a matter of different strokes for different folks. You're going to find that there are a catagory of people who enjoy living in their childhood, replaying as much retro and retro-like games as they are able to and other people who want to move onwards and find new experiences. People just grow at different rates.
I seriously find the Wii lacking in intrest for me and my personality. I rather like being challeneged on a mature level and there are some matur...
Wow... wtf....
There are a lot of fundamental flaws in the arguements he makes, but there are some points to contemplate.
Shadow of the Colossas is not high art, it is an experience however, but it's right to say it's not high art. As counter point for his 'The Terrorist' example, remember that Columbine RPG? Did that not challenge a difficult subject in an even more interesting manner (via the lives of the killers)?
Stepping back, you cannot call the majority of main-stream v...
I like how you use a Nintendo creation to discribe another Nintendo product.
Either way, the Wii's success begs the question of 'where is all that money going'? Are they not paying developers enough? Are they burning that money? Is it going towards an actual new console not just a retro emulator (yeah I said it, I bet a majority of the hardcore wii fans are playing games from NES to SNES era).
Wow this list is just full of fail. I'm feeling sorry for the reviewers....
But it really does go to show you that if you want to develop for nintendo, anything is fair game... 360 seems to be getting that treatment too.
Remember when the seal of approval actually had meaning?
They missed a lot of past games. Doom had some anus levels. System Shock 2 had a whole section devoted to going through the bowels of a living creature. And lets not forget constantly being eaten by something in LocoRoco for the PSP and coming out the other end.
Viral marketing....
What appears to be the box for the set-up is right behind the case.
If I was going to get a tincase for this game, I would want a real bullet hole put into it. I don't think that costs much more or is too much of a request.
They are releaseing a GTA on the DS, so Wii would be a logical step.
HOWEVER, since the wii has had it's pride on selling to seniors, moms and children, a GTA game is going to epic fail and tarnish the casual established user base of the Wii / Nintendo users.
Before a GTA Wii gets out, see how well Mad World is going to do, because I'm very certain that it's not going to be accepted by a majority of Wii users.
