It's not quite that bad. It's more like they're trying to smother their own child after they hear it saying a naughty word. Battlefield will die if they keep this up and in case they havent noticed EA tends to be very trigger happy when it comes to shutting down studios when they begin to have sales problems.
If they lose their biggest franchise what does DICE have left? Battlefront maybe? But if that struggles like the last then what? Bye bye DICE. And no one w...
Services go down now and then. As long as it's at most a couple hours then it's all good. If longer then I question what Sony's doing with all the money they get from charging consumers.
Okay, but why is sexualisation bad but Ellie fucking up a ton of people and killing them all good? Also, their excuse is absolute bullshit because there is no such thing as a global standard. It's a western standard they're following.
@SenorFartCushion
Say that when less than a quarter of the people who purchased the game complete the campaign.
It is certainly not with ease because we're not even 100% sure as to what will and won't release next year for Sony or Nintendo. Even if we assume all of them do release its still unclear because we've seen so little for all of these titles that some could end up being disappointments. How much do we actually know about Tlou2, Ghost of Tsushima, Death Stranding, Metroid Prime 4, Animal Crossing Switch, FE: Three Houses, Bayonetta 3, Pokemon Switch and Luigi's Mansion? In some ...
"I get no entertainment from pure MP games."
Then you're not part of the games target audience. If BFV's campaign is enough to convince you to buy a game then you've got low standards.
Titanfall 2 had a good campaign so it was worth including. However, 90% of the campaigns in BF are a pure waste of time, and if it not being included is a deal-breaker for you then I'm absolutely okay with that.
It's like sa...
So you saw value in BFV having a campaign?
If the devs aren't going to bother making the campaign worth playing then they should just leave it out altogether. if they're going to take it seriously and make a good experience, then I want it included. There is no set rule on this.
That's not the attitude to have. I agree that we should boycott any game on their system where they've forced devs to adhere to their false standards, but if you refuse to go back then why should they change? Buy any game that Sony has forced into agreeing to censorship on another platform until they change their policy. That's what we all need to do.
That's a cute little diatribe. Didn't really say much though did you? Just a lot of generalisations that apply to every system.
At this point if anyone hasn't known for years that they should take analyst predictions with a grain of salt then they've been living under a rock.
No one can predict what will happen over the course of 2019 because this industry is unpredictable on a level that others aren't. For all we know TLOU2 could get delayed and become a 2020 game along with Ghost of tsushima, which could result in a weak Sony line-up. The same could happen to Nintendo with Metroid, Fir...
@DJk1NG
You name all those games and that's wonderful but it's not on par with Splatoon 2, Mario: Odyssey, BotW, MK8D, Mario & Rabbids and Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Their first year was success after success, but their second was just stagnant overall with them sitting still after achieving a powerful start for a new system. An incredible December release (Smash) doesn't make the other 11 months look any better.

A good end to the year doesn't change the fact that the beginning to middle was average at best.
"No $10 subscription or monthly discounts on it is going to pay for an expensively made game. Only the SALES of a game."
Then they should make good value DLC or expansions for any SP games they release for the service and make their money that way. To be honest I think I'd like that model if they can actually deliver a quality package at release first and then expand upon it.
I mean technically they don't owe him anything if the price drops. He got suckered and needs to deal with it instead of acting like he's entitled to something just because he couldn't wait a bit for the game.
@JaguarEvolved
"Next year will be worse for them"
Going to have to stop you there. Bayonetta 3, animal Crossing, Luigis mansion, Core series Pokemon, Daemon X Machina, No More Heroes, Town, Yoshi, Metroid Prime 4 and a few more is not under any measurable sense worse than this year. 2018 was just average right up until the end. You're just trolling at this point.

@nibblo
It was such a powerful ending to such a great character. Even the movie that continued it to the very end of Ezio's life was just as powerful. Unfortunately, Ubisoft didn't continue with what that ending set up with the main series like everyone wanted.
Wrong.
AC: Revelations had a great ending.
Thank you, Gregg!
@MoshA
wut?
People need to stop this thing about making games into E-Sports. Battlefront 2015 had a very casual style of gameplay and it was fun. In a lot of ways it's was a more focussed product and was better because of it. BF2 just tried to smash so many things together that it became generic. The only thing they improved upon was the flight mechanics, but on everything else it just felt like the opposite.
The community is what should determine whether a game should be an E-Spor...
