Campaign was far better than the typical Battlefield single player so I disagree there. The multiple short stories with historical events and characters was far better than the fantasy they'd usually think up.

Even Battlefield 3s single player was basically a wannabe Black Ops. Battlefield 4 was just pathetic and had absolutely no explanation to the logic they were pulling.

@Sciurus

Its hardly surprising that the people with more varied opinions are working for lesser known/smaller outlets or independently is it?

Pauline would just end up being an echo fighter tbh. I'd rather an odd character like this be included. it's different and adds something new to the roster.

@Yi-Long

How Many DLC packs are appropriately priced in comparison to the core game they belong to? I wanna clarify DLC, not expansions.

Fallout 3? Nope. Battlefield 3+4 premium pass? Nope. Marvels Spiderman? Nope. Most microtransactions are priced waaay out of range of what their value should be for F2P games. But you know what? It's all optional, and there's nothing stopping you from waiting for a sale.

Only if you're interpreting the titles literally. Otherwise, I'm here asking why we have The Last of Us part II with crowds of people, Gears of War not being about literal mechanical gears fighting one another, or why Total War games allow you to negotiate for peace.

Kinda funny because it's the only reason hes writing this. If Diablo Immortal was announced and no one cheered, and said absolutely nothing he wouldn't be writing this article.

"And the vast majority of the sales of those titles came years after the fact, over time."

Source please.

"The fact of the matter is, the Vita HAD AAA support."

And was then abandoned for 5 years. Good support.

"Smash and Pokemon are bigger than Super Mario games. They sell more. They sell more platform. That is a fact."

Smash is but we can't say whether Pokemon Let's Go will be a system seller. This isn't a part of the core series so we can't attribute the success they see to the Let's Go series. We genuinely don't know how well Let's Go will do so we have to wait and see. Everything at this point is speculation.

I think that just shows your ignorance on the console market imho

No one is doubting the selling power of Smash and Pokemon. What they're doubting is the ability of only two heavy hitters producing a huge amount of hardware sales in 6 months. Smash will more than pr0ve itself but Pokemon: Let's Go is not a mainline series release. We don't know for sure how well it will sell.

Also, not sure where you got the release dates for FE and Yoshi, and even then they're not heavy hitters when it comes to moving consoles. If someone...

Not at all analogous. Are you trying to say this mobile game is on par with Red Dead 2?

2746d ago 30 agree1 disagreeView comment

You can have this game exist, but you can't expect everyone to be pleased when it's been how long since we've had D3 release and it's expansion? If we had Diablo 4 on the way or an expansion and this announced it would be fine. Just something to fiddle with while you wait for the proper content. But, just this? After all these years of waiting Blizzard? Shameful.

"I remember last gen people were complaing that 60gb, 80gb, 120gb, 160gb HDD etc is isn't enough for HD games, but Nintendo got fre passes for releasing 32gb console in 2017."

And now console users are settling for 1tb. Doesn't fit many games when the install is mandatory, does it? But if you're going to tell me that you swapped out your HDD then that's cool, because you can just buy an SD card for the Switch. So what...

@UCForce

You mention sales numbers like they somehow enhanced your experience. I played games. Following your logic Nintendo won last gen if all we care about is sales.

Analysing sales is fine but it's like saying Nintendo is 3rd place because MS has more lifetime hardware sales. It doesn't say anything about what actually happened within that year and what came out for those systems.

@UCForce

If you don't see Nintendo's comeback in 2017 as a win then you must be blind. Their new system outdid all expectations despite the negativity following it's reveal leading up to launch. GOTY title at launch, unexpected sales, stronger 3rd party support especially from Indies. Thats not even including their 3DS games like Metroid: Samus Returns and Fire Emblem. How is it not a win exactly when their support was consistent throughout the year?

Doesn't mean you can't be blacklisted for it. That's the big risk for outlets.
