This is a given. Since when has a launch window title set the ceiling for whats possible on a system? By the end of the gen I'm sure we'll have games which look much better then second son running at 60fps/1080p and games that look even better then that running 1080p/30fps.
Probably just waiting games down the road, but isn't that the case for most early adopters?
The launch titles in Japan are all very old now (cross gen titles), but also they are pretty western tailored.
2 years is quite a short time to develop a game of that quality on an entirely new platform. Possible, but very unlikely. Furthermore we're probably receiving Uncharted in 2015 so if that team have been working on their game since early 2012 and we still havent seen gameplay from it, I really doubt The Last of Us's team are just gonna conjure up a PS4 game out of nowhere.
Also just because something is successful does not mean that it needs a sequel. It wasn't the...
Its a re-release so I dont expect it to have huge legs.
I really don't like sequels within the FF series. Even if done well, I much prefer squares mentality in the 90s. Thats part of what made each title so precious.
Well I should hope so, ins't the game coming out in spring. Thats less then 6 months away.
Horrible advert, it makes it seem more like an app then an actual game.
next week it has a gundam bundle so numbers should be quite high, at least 30k
Actually its the other way round, X just looks like a blue deer with multicoloured antlers. Y however, Has 3 gaint claws for for its wings and tail feathers and has a face shaped like a torpedo. Not to mention its colours are more complementary.
Would make sense for it to arrive alongside the new vita model.
This screen shot makes me want it, but the gameplay videos do not.
and no one will utilise it.
Have you seen the actual footage of Ryse running on the Xbox One?
Make it more adventure-y please! thanks
well they just announced a price cut for the standard model here so I don't expect this to hit our shores till spring 2014, hopefully retailing for $160 and with more then just 1GB internal memory (at least 8GB)
I actually like the quirky, 2 tone colours of the new model as well as its rounded form factor. But still, am I going to give up this OLED? Not likely.
If the LCD gets good reviews I might pick up a lime/white Vita 2000 when they're cheap ($149) and give my current one to one of my siblings.
According to that screen shot, next gen= N64 graphics. Cool.
are you sure, LED TVs/monitors are still technically LCDs. I don't think sony has specified what the screen is other then the fact its an LCD and using "improved" technology.
People misread the article regarding its release window, the game is said to be coming fiscal year ending march 2015, that means any point between april 2014 and march 31st 2015. A fall 2014 release date is very likely.
Games like Killzone were made from the ground up for the Vita. I assume this game is just made from butchered assets of the console versions.
I too will reserve judgement. But I think sony should have just outsourced a completely new spinoff for the Vita. Its a shame because an exclusive borderlands PSVIta game would probably sell more then most Sonys 1st party efforts like Killzone
