Backwards compatibility still isn't on PS4 (and I mean PROPER backwards compatibility) and wasn't on Xbox One at launch. I don't see you calling them out. Mario was still in development.

It wasn't rushed dude. Its obvious what happened but of course it will go over your head. Want me to spell it out for you?

3DS struggled at launch and Wii U failed so they were being more cautious with how they approached Switch this time and you can't...

TLDR: I really want a handheld version of Switch as I am not a fan of the novelty. I can't get my head round the fact I am playing indie games and LA Noire, Doom and Odyssey on the same system. I also find it difficult to believe Switch can successfully cater to both handheld fans and console fans in the long run.

Right now I have to say I honestly preferred Wii U. Sound mad? Before you down vote me read on. I don't judge how much joy I get out of a console based on...

Which company are you being paid by? The "not necessities" is a an excuse. You know full well games are an addiction for many people. The budgets can cost the exact same they costed then and don't lie. They can. Breath Of The Wild is proof of that. The game sold 3 million and was still a big success. Heck even Smash Bros with an insane amount of voice actors and paying for all those licenses still made it profit so either Nintendo is doing something the others aren't or they...

@moldybread

You are talking like they can't make profit. They can. Their budgets getting out of control is their problem. That is not an excuse to justify micro-transactions. I honestly can't believe that any game that sells 1 million wouldn't have been profitable in some kind of way.

Question for you Niles. Do you have more money then I will make in my lifetime? Thought so.

The people buying your games have houses above their heads as well you know. Stop playing victim when you are rich and made of money.

I don't care what the law says about paying to use the license you own the disc or cartridge and have the right to put it in the tray, keep it on the shelf or even smash it to pieces or flush it down the toilet. Software laws should be manipulated because they literally support capitalism for people that don't even need money.

That is what gets me about you apologists. Scamming people by making them pay for stuff already locked in t...

No. Disgaea V on Switch outsold the PS4 version. Azure Knight special edition sold out on Switch. You say Nintendo are "finally" getting the same treatment

Excuse me?

Their handhelds have been getting third party support since forever! Their CONSOLES weren't. Seriously stop being the ignorant saying Nintendo don't get third party support when it is Wii U that doesn't.

Their handhelds have always had third party...

Xbox is the dudebro shooter box.

The problem is fanbase. Take a look at where the majority of sales for these types of games come from. Xbox owners just don't want to admit the dudebro image is real and has had negative impacts (similar to Nintendo's image).

I honestly think SAO, Attack on Titan and FighterZ are just on Xbox because Phil is trying to lure overseas anime fans in some daft hope that they can drop their "dudebro shooter sports" image.

They already said the day of the presentation in January both Blazblue and Tales are getting on Switch. We now know what Blazblue. We just don't know what Tales.

The only way Indies are in trouble is if they start to lose common sense (financially) like most AAA publishers did. Sure I've often found gems I didn't know existed after digging through online stores but it isn't as bad as AAA. At least smaller companies keep their budgets in check and don't have the audacity to try and blame the gamers for their blunders.

A lot of males use their computers on a daily basis. Methinks Koei smells some... son what did I tell you about that sick filth?

That isn't how an install base works. It isn't how many systems were sold. An install base is composed only of people actively buying, using or playing on the system. A number usually a lot lower than consoles sold.

And for dev cost you should know full well that is Brendan's fault. He ate up Sony's funding then ate Rockstar's. Any other game would have been profitable.

He is lucky to have had Rock...

What are you on about? LA Noire shipped 5 million units. Just because it didn't cover the dev cost doesn't mean it didn't sell well.

And Microsoft haven't?

Switch is amazing hardware. Much better than 360 was.

Game Freak as developers are the direct opposite of Nintendo's philosophies. Nintendo try to push things with their main IPs (like Breath of the Wild and Odyssey) and Game Freak have done very very very little to change Pokemon.

Game Freak are bad developers. The only reason Nintendo bought shares in them is because of the Pokemon series.

Let me make this perfectly clear to everyone. Mass Effect and Ninja Gaiden getting on PS3 and Crash getting on Xbox does not mean it is happening here.

With NG II Tecmo cheated and built the game around the Sigma engine (thus getting out of contractual agreements with MS). Mass Effect was destined to leave when Bioware became part of EA and Crash is owned by Universal.

The reason this happens to MS so often is because they (for whatever reason) tend not...

The article actually lists some games that got announced recently but compare that to Playstation. Then Switch literally just got 3 Warriors games announced. If Microsoft want Japanese support they need to write cheques to get it. But the drawback comes from their game division having a certain amount of money.

Microsoft's key problem is the variety of exclusives they provide in comparison to the others. Right now they either need to buy or build developers or outsource...
