Once you play a game at 60fps there's no going back. I'd happily sacrifice screen res or detail for 60fps if I had to make a choice. It's totally a personal preference at the end of the day though and it's silly that these new consoles are already struggling.
These consoles are both a disappointment. They should both have hardware capable of 1080p @ 60fps no exceptions. It's an even sadder story for the X1.
60fps is a luxury worth striving for.

The attention to detail and animation in this game is superb. The E3 demo impressed me.

BTW BF4 is extremely CPU bound, now we all realize CPU grunt isn't either of these consoles forte. Starting to see the picture ?!
How is the fact this game runs at 900p proof the PS4 is capable of more? I'm sure it is capable of more but its hardly a sign of technical prowess. Don't you think they would have made it 1080p/60fps if they could have?!! lol

What Acesonnall said is fairly spot on. Dev's know their way around x86 hardware unlike last gen consoles where that had to figure it out over many years. These consoles are basically PC's and Dev's have already said it's much easier to program for. This is good! as it won't take so many years to eek everything out. But the other side of the coin is, you shouldn't expect massive gains from untapped resources like we experienced last gen.

Yes the machine is overkill for most gamers single screen setups but who cares. Some things are done for the sake of art or to satisfy our curiosity.

Right now, I'd rather iBuyPower's $500 steambox. The R270 GPU in that is capable of running BF4 at 1080p 60fps.
