You need to be more picky than just getting rid of them all. Some Direct X release are slightly different build for games - especially older games. I don't mind sacrificing 1.5 to ensure I have the correctly libraries for my collection of games.
If you're uninstalling a games, that's a different story
They are there for a reason!
If like to snag one of these controllers
Give it up Lukas. Nothing wrong with being a Sony cheerleader anyway.
@H0RSE
@webeblazing
Lukas will go to extraordinary lengths and PM you to get his 1 dimensional mute points across, then block since the last word is so important to him.
Well at least you know how one can get bubbles here on N4G now.
Anyway to game looks like its coming along nicely.
Good luck. Like Gabenbrah said - you need a high frame rate in the 60's ALL the time otherwise you literally get motion sickness.
Lol - ignorant child.
Yep. Valve have only to gain from this move. It is almost entirely a risk free move for them since other vendors are fronting all the hardware except the controller.
Too early to call. But I wouldn't underestimate that Valve's strategy is a good one.
@Mustang300C2012
Can you read ?
It is unless you want to OC the tits off it down the road. Haswell generally sucks eggs unless you're not a performance enthusiast.
Calling it a complete waste of money is a little harsh though. It will still handle games admirably.
Nice CPU - one of a dying breed of true OCers.
GDDR4 is out now for server use. It's likely not to mainstream until 2015 now.
Turn off Hyperthreading on the i7. Done
Steam doesn't charge it's users to play games online - and they're making plenty of money. If you fanboys stopped bending over and paying for online I'm sure it would be free too. There is no good reason online can't be kept free and sustainable just like Sony did last gen. The fact you already buy a game that comes with online, then to have to pay again to play that part of that content is a restriction.
Also twitch streaming can't be recorded, on steamed live...
Lol, no wonder you have 1 bubble. Get a clue mate!
Lame
Very nice. I'm rocking a 3920xm @ 4.5gh on stock fans in a gaming laptop. It still outruns Haswell and probably Broadwell the way things are going with Intel.
Anything less than a 7970m, 680m, 770m, 780m isn't worth paying for in my opinion.
I'd also add that buying any PERFORMANCE laptop with out an MXM GPU is a bit waste of money too. Non MXM GPU means the GPU is soldered on a you can't never upgrade it.
I agree. I'm trying to find a reason to buy a PS4 or X1 but can't find one.
My rig is a well oiled machine and runs like a banshe so I'm pretty happy.
I'll check those vids out thanks.
I think that researching parts, ordering parts and fitting takes far longer that 2 hours in total though. Especially for a first time builder. It takes time researching parts, making sure RAM profiles will fit with HS clearance etc.
Some of the boutiques aren't as expensive as you think, especially something like iBuyPower Revolt.
True. HDD, Hybrids and Sata 2 SSD's (last gen) would be suit a PS4. Anything faster is bottlenecked by the Sata 2 connection. Crying shame
If I were doing an upgrade I'd wack a large capacity HDD Hybrid drive inside and call it a day. That way most of the commonly used files (likely OS) would get the SSD boost.
This mod is good and its nice to have choice, but has turned a sleek machine into Frankenstein.
