I have that feeling about this generation be it 360 or ps3. So many quality games it does seem hard to keep up.
I've always enjoyed MoH, being a history person I think it would be cool to see other historical things that are unamerican. Given the current world climate something based around Isrial Spec ops or their situations with Iran or Syria would be kind of neat.
I own both consoles and love them both for what they offer. When I saw LBP2 it just reafirmed my belief that this may be my last console generation. One cause I'm getting too old and don't have the time and two because the quality and graphics that are this generation make me say "why need a new console generation?", things are just looking great!
yeah I definately can't wait. My Hype for MW was pretty high but my Hype for this has already surpassed it, and it's still 5 months out.
no i haven't but since you mention it I'll look into it. Yeah I've always enjoyed the war movies like band of brothers, jarhead, and blackhawk down. What i hate are The Patriots and Pearl Harbors of the genre. Just like with video games, these hollywood productions that take away from the history and the I guess educational value they can offer.
I'm really excited for this new MOH, unlike the MWs it is taking a realistic, somewhat historical accuracy to it. None of that tom clancy hollywood production that was Modern Warfare 1 and 2. So coming from a military history stand point I'm definately looking forward to it.
I think it is alot more tasteful when you are making a game or movie based on actual events. Yes I can see where some people would be upset by this and find it controversal, but it is real life and it's real history. I'm much more acceptable to things that are accurate towards history vs. trying to sugar coat it. I would much rather have a realistic historical game than a game that has violence for violence sack and has no real meaning (aka grand theft auto). So in a historical point ...
I would have to agree with him, in that, this console generation has been so mind blowingly amazing it's hard to imagine how they can completely justify a new generation unless they pull magic bunnies out of there hats. And without another generation there is no need to continue the gaming genre. So yes I do feel like some major changes may be coming our way.
my concern is them finishing the story. The one thing I hate more than anything is a company never finishing what they started, so if they can make MW3 and end the story on the good note, by all means call it quits. But please at least finish the story.
opening sequence for someone like me who loves story in games truely was awsome. It's just too bad mw2 couldn't continue on this amazing opening.

just more proof that this will probably be my last console generation. This generation is getting so good that, assuming I get a large enough library, I'll never need a new generation again.
Reach is definately the best so far. But I do agree there definately needs to be some tweeks to weapons, melee, timing, ect. But it is a beta so I'm not concerned yet.
With how expensive and yet crazy awsome this generation has been I would love to see both companies keep a 10 year life cycle. Besides who wants to shell out another $500 for new tech?......I just fear that at this rate prices will get so low that they won't have a choice but to release a new generation before their 10 year commitments.
Yep, Medal of Honor is my number one this year. I can't wait!!! I'm really interested in more single player info and beta info. The fact that this game is taking from real life events based in Afghanistan is definately a WIN!!!
I haven't touched my copy of LBP in months, not much of a creature. Still this gives me a warm fuzzy feeling, it's LBP you can't help but smile. This fall line up of games is amazing....idk if i'll ever need another console generation.
The simple fact that it's based on reality and actual events and is modern warfare is enough to set it off from Call of duty.....using terms like afghanistan and al-qaeda instead of the tom clancy hollywood act that was modern warfare 1 and 2.
Real life is better than fiction. This is exactly why I'm so excited for this game, it's based on reality and not something you can make up. So yes it will have an elivated level of emotion and I think that is a good thing.
(If nothing else look at heavy rains emotion and its success.)
Are ya'll not listening. They aren't going to ban violent video games, they are looking to ban violent video games for MINORS!!! This is a law that has been in effect forever, the M rating says it's not ment for people under 18. Kids under 18 can't buy porn or cigaretts, this law would be no different.
FPS has not influenced my view of the military, my love and study of history has done that. History makes me want to join and someday, given the chance, I just may.
