X is the only interesting title Nintendo offers in 2015. Dragon Quest VII remake and Shin Megami Tensei IV are the other ones worth trying. Just not going to buy two consoles for those three titles. Not yet.
I hope all the best to Nintendo. I with they succeed in the business. We need them to be around! :)
I wonder, had they named their game "Uncharted 4: The Last Of Us", would it sell more copies? :D
Off topic about Vita: I was never going to buy any games for Vita when I purchased it. My plan was all along to use PS+, which I used with PS3 and now with PS4, to play games that I don't to buy.
So far, I have 23 PSP, PSX, PCEngine, PS Vita games on my memory card. Stuff like Arc The Lad I-III, Shin Megami Tensei If /I-II, Uncharted, Gravity Daze, Monkey Ball, Lumines, YS Celceta, Over my dead body I (II coming this month). I see Vita as a platform with a service instead...
The whole point was to demonstrate how easy it is to break down the so called gaming journalism into bits and pieces that do not fit together.
My guess goes for the "Let's write something fun and add some "intelligence" to it"-type of shallow premise.
Also, a normal analysis and analysis of paralysis are two separate things.
Here is some criticism of this piece:
First of all, the writer should define the term "intelligence". Does he mean the cognitive learning functions, emotional intelligence (a word the writer uses in the wrong way), behavioristic conditioning of the player or what not else? Or maybe he means computational intelligence or artificial intelligence? Even reading a tutorial or reminders of the, often much needed, break can activate various functions across the brain that ...
Hotline Miami is one of the best games in 10 years. I've been playing for almost 30 years and I say this with confidence.
I thought the first time playing Dark Souls 2 and the DLC through was more interesting than playing Dark Souls the first time. Demon's Souls beats them both, though. Exclusives are ALWAYS better than multiplats in my opinion.
Hopefully Bloodborne will be hardcore enough. Dark souls and Dark Souls 2 are different, but equally good in mood and design. Both have flaws, but both excel in what they do best. I respect both teams at From Software.
One thing is c...
I wonder what the Japanese PS+ will offer this month! I want to try First Light as well.
Saw a dream last night about driving cars in Driveclub, except it was real life. For some reason, my (late) granny was always sleeping in the next room, when I came back home from driving different routes and countries with the cars of the game. She would wake up upon me returning and go like "So, did you drive those crazy fast cars with ultra-high-definition graphics, again?" :D
I think I have to buy this game now. Just too many signs up in the air :D
Yeah! Let us hardcore players play some single-player games. I want to game alone, or have a friend/girlfriend next to me watching. Sometimes, we take turns.
Mostly, I just want to play a game to experience different worlds and fantasies. While playing, though, I want to think deeply about the meaning of life, universe and the plot. I like being stimulated intellectually, philosophically and psychologically by games. This can only be achieved by deep single-player experience...
Fair enough! Yeah, this is the first Persona I'm looking forward to (after Persona 2 games). But if they go for the social stuff and teenager plot, I'm not going to budge. Shin Megami Tensei core series and Digital Devil Saga are really good, though. Persona games have really good gameplay and story, just the setting and high school stuff has been over for me over 15 years ago...
Hilarious how the first four people commented without reading the article :D
The frikkin' link is not working!
Here's the link that actually works: http://www.siliconera.com/2...
Find a real one guys, it's New Year's eve lol
That's because it's a multiplatform title. Games developed solely on PS4 or Xbox SDKs, which will be updated all the time btw, are going to look much better than AC Unity in time. It's just the way it is, and always has been.
Even Xbox 360 and PS3 pulled off DX10-11 and OpenGL effects that "was not supposed to be possible" on those platforms.
Sure, the PS4 and a high-end PC have huge raw difference in power, but that's not all there...
The New 3DS sold 10% of the amount that 3DS sold in it's first week. Maybe the New 3DS is a slow-burner, like the original 3DS (which was not selling that well at all until the price drop, let's not forget that), who knows.
However, I argue that the branding is once again leading consumers to wonder what the product truly is. Is it a completely new console, or just a new iteration of 3DS? What will the support be for this "version" of 3DS? Is it even meant t...
I don't think the average consumer can see value in Nintendo's proposal (value proposal). It's hard to argue for Wii U when more varied and powerful PS4 and Xbox One are only slightly more expensive, and have already impressive exclusive line-up, if only in numbers.
When Wii U costs 150USD it will fly of the shelves. Nintendo's bad decision to include an expensive to manufacture controller that is both clunky in size and design, and in addition with a very bad...
Good! That's a relief! I want to play AAA titles on my Vita. I even use Vita more than my PS4. That is, until PSX, PS2, PS3 games become available on PS4. Oh, and Bloodborne.
Gravity Daze is really well directed masterpiece with a lot of heart in it. I hope it runs a bit better than Uncharted, but looks almost as good graphically. The most important is probably the sound, art, atmosphere, gameplay and story, though.
At 32 now, I still enjoy Zelda games. The mystery, atmosphere, humour and gameplay are timeless. Art is art, who cares about how old you are.
I wish I could connect to my PS4 via my phone's 4G 50mbit/50mbit with Vita, but from what I understand, the PS4 needs at least as good a connection for this to work. I only have 300kbit upload (cable) for it (I use my phone's network for PS4 when I'm at home). Does this program make it possible to connect to PS4 without needing a fast connection for the PS4 as well?
I don't understand the "root" thing completely...
@morganfell
The game will also be released on PS3.
