It has been a pretty mediocre year for Switch users. I just really hope they are not holding software for the rumored Switch Pro.
They don't have the best track record with that kind of device. Remember the whole 3DS vs New 3DS thing?
It honestly gets a bit better specially once you realize that you can be really generous with the coins getting help from the toads so you can survive the hideous battles.
I still finished the game with +40,000 coins and I bought all the gadgets and upgrades.
Just finished the farm....honestly the battle system is pretty underwhelming.
I can't tell you how many times I rolled my eyes after being forced into battle. It is stressful, sometimes unfair and not particularly fun.
The test of the game is ok, the humor is great (and the ending is pretty competent).
Sadly the battle system is a big part of the ge and should've been so much more.
Have you been to Japan? Literally 80% of people have iPhones here and at least for now it won't be available on iOS.
Also Japan has been surprisingly slow to embrace streaming. People still rent DVDs, buy CDs and even Netflix took years to succeed.
Xbox has always been a huge flop here, so not sure they are in a good position to succeed with Gamepass.
(Also XCloud doesn't even have a release date here).

I live in Tokyo and Xbox is NOT a thing. It has never been and it's always sad to see Microsoft spend a fortune on Marketing, Billboards, ads, etc. but nobody wants their gaming hardware.
Before people claimed that it was xenophobia, but Apple is very successful here, so is Android and even Windows.
They just give few reasons for gamers to aban...

People would need to be very desperate to play Blinx upscaled with HDR to pay $600 for a Series X.
I've owned a PS3, PS4, PSP, PS Vita and PS Pro launch units and never had a problem with the hardware.
The launch titles are usually not that great but definitely improves a LOT in the first 6 months.
The price doesn't drop that quickly....so unless you can't afford to buy it this year, why wait until summer 2021?

When you say for 2 years that your machine will deliver 4k, 60 fps and raytracing and make it sound like it will be standard people take it that way.
Now we know that it will be a "best case scenario" and will not necessarily apply to AAA, open world games.
That's why you let gameplay running on final hardware do the talking, not employees overhyping on social media...
Lol....the damage control PR machine is working overtime. What happened to Crackdown 3? It was extremely oberhyped with "the power of the cloud" ....delayed multiple times and ended dup being extremely mediocre.
The XBox One in general had very poor first party support, and just because they delayed Halo (after being ridiculed for weeks), doesn't mean that Microsoft's corporate culture is suddenly fixed.

So what is it? They are obsessed with graphics and specs, but say it's not about that.....they don't care about exclusives, but they've been buying studios left and right....now they don't care about sales?

Their games are always polished and extremely fun to play. Hopefully Miles will have a ton of new gadgets 🔥
I would be surprised if MS dare to price it at $599. Then again, it's been clear from the start that they only wanted the most powerful system (I'm terms of raw power) and that won't be cheap.
I still feel we are looking at:
-$299 Series X
-$399 PS5 Digital
-$499 PS5
-$499/$599 Series X depending on how much money MS is willing to bleed.
